Most of the shops in Papeete close Saturday afternoon, so we left the shopping district and walked over to Paofai Gardens. It was fun seeing families having a picnic and children playing. Overall, a lovely garden walk along the water's edge.
Nice gardens for a walk in the Centre of Papeete. Especially good for families with a nice playground but also for anyone to watch the world go by or a coffee. Plenty of runners there too if you fancy a jog

It was a great place to spend a quiet Sunday sitting in the shade and watching families enjoying the park. Little ones were taken to the outdoor showers and washed down when they got messy. What a great idea, every park should have outdoor showers....More
