While caught in a rainstorm while walking in Papeete we popped into the pearl museum and enjoyed about a half hour of looking around. Exhibits are well done and quite educational. Well worth a visit.

We dropped into this museum for a quick visit. Reading all of the documentation and watching the video on display won't take more than twenty minutes, and gives an informative overview of how pearls are cultivated.
