My wife and I were going to fly to Papeete from Moorea but decided to take the Terevau Ferry instead. Very happy we did as it was not only much less expensive ($60 for flight per person compared with $11 (1 160 XPF)) to take the ferry, the only flight left at 3pm and boat left

Terevau is the slower, less expensive transport ferry between Papeete and Moorea. It is slightly less expensive than the Aremiti 6 and was a nice trip, but I much prefer the Aremiti 6, which is cleaner, faster, much less crowded, better air conditioning (which is huge when it

Thank you for your appreciation of the Terevau. However, for more complete information, if the Aremiti 6 is faster from one pass to the other one, it is the same time from dock to dock (25 mn)... And if you were lucky to get a senior discount with Aremiti 6, which is surprising because discount prices do not apply on foreigners, only for residents, they have a higher price for non residents, which is not the case with the Terevau. Terevau is sure older but you'll have a more local environment and atmosphere. Terevau is an older boat but our staff is sure trying its best to please the passengers and make them feel welcome. Thank you for sharing your experience with us.

We decided last minute to take the ferry from Pappete to Moorea. Cost for two return tickets was $ 45.00. Was easy to get tickets at the Ferry terminal (we took the 11.30am ferry) and ride was just 30 minutes. The only downside, the last ferry back is at 4.40pm.
