Nice to spen some time wandering around and to take in the beauty of the Port Denarua Nadi. We had dinner at the Indigo Indian Resturant at Port Denarau which had a delightful ambience, thoroughly enjoyed.

Although Denarau Beach hasn't got the idyllic blue waters that the Fiji Islands offer it is still very enjoyable to walk along the beach alongside the resorts. The water is extremely warm and is okay to swim in. There's often water sports activity along the various parts of the beach.

The range of accommodation here is great, plenty of places to eat, the golf club has a good menu. Water Park is a good new attraction for kids. Marina is good with day cruises departing regularly and good range of shopping too.

We stayed on Denarau Island for 5 days at the Wyndam. The Wyndam beach is not great, but further down, there are some nice places to put down your towel or sit on the chairs. My kids even brought their hammocks and hung them between some palm trees.

The views were fantastic, everyone was so friendly, I was traveling by myself and felt very comfortable every where I went.

If you're going to Fiji for the beach, don't go to Denerau. Denerau is just a stop-over spot to go to the outer islands (in my opinion), the sea is murky/dirty and there's no way I'd let my kids swim in it. We've been to Fiji loads of times and the outer islands really are the place to go for... More

The downside of Denarau is that the beach is not very attractive - it's fairly tidal and the water is not clear. Far better to go to an outlying island for snorkelling and swimming. If you love the pool, all the hotels have great pools.

It was often too hot to walk for long on the beach, but we went one day at sunset and it was simply stunning. The little church there was so beautiful and tranquil, I could just imagine an intimate wedding being held there. Excellent photo opportunities.

this port is built on mangrove land so the water is muddy and the 'beach' is just mud. nothing much to do except for a couple of highly prices tourist shops. Its a port, so its pretty much just boats. Not great for backpackers unless you are transferring to an island. I'm sure it's nice for people with $$$

This beach is nothing special. It has beautiful views & is a good spot to walk around but not really worth stopping or spending time at.
