Together with my friend (2 females 25 y/o) we heard a lot of good things about this place so decided to go.

Everything was fine in the beginning, we were the only guests and we were guided by a little boy around the age of 14 and things got bad when we got dressed In our bathing suits and he told us to get the mud on us.

He wanted to help me get the mud on my body and I said no thank you and he continued to touch me even when I said no multiple times. he touched me very inappropriately and tried getting into my bathing suit and he was touching my butt and breast. I told him to stop and walked away from him but mind you I couldn't just walk out of there because I was covered in mud...

I kept my distance from him but we felt really uncomfortable and wanted to get out asap.

On our way to the other pools there were a few other boys his age that screamed that he would like to sleep with me and touch me... it was so uncomfortable and inappropriate.

The lady at the front desk wasn't there when we wanted to say something about it and our taxi driver laughed in my face when I told him what happened.

Even though the boys were young, there should be more supervision at the pools. we absolutely hated the experience and wanted to leave asap.

It was a waste of money and I felt very confused and upset.

For female (solo) travellers I would absolutely not recommend this place.

The stated price on the website was less than the actual price as you go in, however the lady did agree to the website price. The area is clean and well maintained, however, I expected to be going into a mud pond rather than just use mud in a bucket which is collected earlier in the day.

There is a person who follows you around while you are in the hot spring baths, then directs you out of them after only a few minutes, all except one bath which you can stay in longer. The experience was very rushed, overrated, and disappointing.

I would suggest people talk to the locals to find a more natural mud bath.

First, I have to thank our personal tour guide and driver Thomas! He was fantastic and very knowledgeable! He picked us up on time from our hotel. On our way to the first stop Viseisei Village, an authentic Fijian village, he gave us a brief history of Fiji. We toured the village while he waited for us in the car. In the village, we had a private tour of the grounds and we were given the history of it. We took part in a kava ceremony inside a private home and bought some souvenirs from the families of the village.
For our next stop, Thomas took us to the Sleeping Giant gardens. Again, he gave us the history of this place. The hike was self-guided. We walked through the beautiful landscape and eventually made it up to the lookout.
Finally, our last stop was the mud pools. While Thomas waited, we enjoyed a relaxing mud bath along with a couples massage. It was so relaxing. Great service and wonderful time!
Thomas then took us back to our hotel. He was kind enough to take us to a money exchange so I can get more cash.
I cannot thank Thomas enough for such a wonderful experience. Vinaka Vakalevu, Thomas!

Great place to go and relax out in nature. Paste on the mud, let it dry, wash off in the mud pool, rinse further in the second pool, then relax in the clean pool. When we went in Jan. 2022, entrance was F$30 person. Optional coconut oil massages for F$20/15 mins, F$40/30 mins, F$70 60 mins. Nothing else in the area although Garden of the Sleeping Giant is a short car ride away. Private tour from Denarau hotel with Great Sights was $75/person for 3 hours in a nice spacious car and friendly driver Henry.

Pretty cool service. Nice place, only onsen I've been to in a tropical environment. Was pleasantly surprised that your skin actually does end up smoother after using them.

Just beware that if there's heavy rain, the road leading there may become flooded making the place unvisitable due to the fact you will be unable to drive there.

We had so much fun with the mud pool followed by the hot springs. We didn’t go with a tour group, we were able to drive up there. Parking is included with the entrance free, i can’t recall the exact amount but it was less than $60 Fijian dollars for 2 adults and a child. They have someone who works there and walk you from pool to pool, also takes pictures/videos for you! We were able to use Google maps to get tor he location, it’s a dirt road but you don’t need a 4x4 to access it.

Today, last day in Fiji, on our way to the airport, we enjoyed a visit to Sabeto Mud Pool & Hot Spring. We were very kindly looked after by the very friendly ‘Any’.
We arrived mid morning. The gardens were picturesque, lush and well maintained and the mountain views were stunning!
We first were offered to get changed, then invited to smother ourselves and each other with the naturally sourced ‘mud’. It felt warm, natural, it felt naturally good for you. ‘Any’ took many photos of us with my phone. We then made our way through a series of natural hot spring pools finishing with a generous 30 minute traditional Fijian Boho massage.
Lastly, the shopping! True authentic handmade jewellery, woodwork, key rings, souvenirs etc, much greater value for money than available in the resort!
Traditional experience. Fiji sunscreen, Friendly Fijian hospitality. Self care. Great value for money. Whole family thoroughly enjoyed.

We were planning on doing a lot of diving and snorkeling but unfortunately the weather was windy and raining and the snorkeling and diving were cancelled This turned out to be a blessing in disguise because we saw parts of Fiji that we were not otherwise planning on seeing. This started with spending time in Suva which included the National Museum, Grand Pacific Hotel for Brunch and the Suva Markets which was a fun day. We then did a couple of tours to the island interior including a tour in long boats and river tubes in Navua river. This included a tour of the traditional village and a swim in a waterfall. This was a fantastic day. We also did a tour of the Naihehe Cave which included a 4wd tour and a traditional kava ceremony. We based our trip out of a house located on the coral coast. On the final day we had a couple of hours to spare and visited the Sabeto hot springs and mudpools. The staff and guides on all of the tours and the mudpools were very knowledgeable and friendly.

We have been here 3 times now, always a good couple of hours outdoors in amongst nature doing something with the kids. Be prepared for a bit of a rough dirt road up to it, however, once there it’s a lovely tropical place to visit. The locals are very friendly, even a few selling local arts and craft. Would recommend morning whilst it’s cooler and not too busy. Attached prices as I couldn’t find it anywhere

This is a good way to spend an extra day you may have in Fiji. The mud was fun to play with, and it did make our skin soft. The best part was the massages. They are very good and very inexpensive.. only $40FJD for 30 mins. If you go, don’t skip the massage. We sure to wear your bathing suit. You will be getting it very dirty in the mud and then wearing it for your massage which takes place in a cone red area with other people. No one is paying attention to anyone else. There’s no talking, so relax and enjoy.
