Big Blue Fiji was built out of a love and passion for Fiji... We offer bespoke diving, surfing, fishing, spearfishing, and sailing holidays around Fiji's spectacular archipelago on board 'Aparima', our Lagoon 440 catamaran. Dive or snorkel with majestic manta rays (seasonal). Picnic on Champagne Beach. Explore Castaway Island, the backdrop to the Tom Hanks’ blockbuster ‘Cast Away’. Swim through the world-famous Sawa-i-Lau caves. Spend the day in a local village, learn basket weaving, and maybe a few Fijian words! Get that adrenaline fix on a shark dive with some of the biggest shark species on the planet. Surf world-class breaks. Or simply unwind, cocktail in hand, as you watch the sun set over your own secluded beach. A cataraman charter onboard "Aparima" in Fiji, really does have it all.

Where to begin! Our time on board the big blue was a trip of a lifetime and one I will never forget. An entirely unique way to experience Fiji surrounded by gorgeous clear blue waters. Starting the day jumping into the ocean and eating a delicious breakfast. Snorkelling round beautiful reefs and watching dolphins swim along side the boat. We saw turtles and even sharks. I celebrated turning thirty on board this beautiful boat with cake and bubbles and Laura and Joe made it super special. Scuba diving was incredible, a first for me. Joe put my mind at ease and gave me the confidence to go down and see incredible schools of fish swim past beautiful coloured corals. The days ended with golden sunsets and silver starry skies like I have never seen before. The boat was extremely comfortable and we slept very well in our double cabin. The food was delicious and the company of the crew was great. I would recommend a trip on the big blue to anyone looking for a truly beautiful and memorable experience.

Anyone can book a Fijian resort holiday, which is why we didn’t go down that route. Instead we booked a private charter on a luxurious 440 Lagoon catamaran with amazing hosts Joe and Laura from Big Blue Fiji and spent the next 10 days sailing the pristine waters of the Yasawa and Mamanucca group of islands. We scuba dived in stunning remote spots away from the crowd, we fished for marlin, sailfish and caught mahi mahi that was cooked to perfection by Laura! We free-dived, spearfished, snorkelled. We burnt a bonfire on our own island with the crew, we even pulled into a resort to have a drink with envious friends!
Big Blue is incredibly comfortable and spacious with plenty of room to chill on your own reading a book in peace. The food cooked by Laura was absolutely stunning while Joe would have to be the worlds ultimate ‘man of the ocean host!’. You could not find better hosts anywhere! The Fijian crew were a blast and there was never a dull moment with them!
Do yourself and your family / friends an incredible favour and book and adventure of a lifetime with Big Blue, Joe and Laura. It will be an unforgettable experience!

We shared a full day on Big Blue with 20+ friends to celebrate a birthday in July. What an awesome experience. I can’t say enough about the crew and how well we were treated. The day sailing out to the sand bar for snorkeling and wake boarding was excellent. The BBQ that was prepared on the boat was out of this world and included steaks and grilled sausages, a variety of salads, to include a lobster salad plate and cheese and fruit assortment. If anyone truly wants to be catered to, Big Blue is the way to go!

I have traveled extensively and Big Blue Fiji is my (our) favorite trip. Joe, Laura, George and Jerry give you a 110% effort in making your sailing trip an incredible experience with such Grace and ease. Joe is a wonderful captain who is always full of humor and ready to play be it diving, snorkeling, wake boarding, paddle boarding or just playing his favorite dice game. Laura, what can I say, she brightens the day with her charm and creates outstanding 5 star meal events with such ease. My family had a spectacular time for 8 days sailing to beautiful coves, diving the waters and simply hanging out.
Don’t debate about going, just do it! I promise you too will agree this will be your favorite vacation. Thank you crew, All the best, The Caswell’s

We had the most amazing vacation with the crew on Big Blue Fiji - we truly cannot say enough good things about the experience! The staff were incredibly accommodating with dietary restrictions, the food was AMAZING The itinerary was the perfect balance of fun and relaxation. The diving was incredible and Joe is a fantastic teacher and knows all of the best spots to take you. We loved every second of our trip and can't wait to go back! You won't regret booking with Joe, Laura and the team! We went for Christmas 2019 and it was the most memorable holiday we've had.

If I could give Joe, Laura and Jerry 10 stars we would. My wife and two adult children spent 5 nights with the Big Blue crew and it was amazing.
Joe and Jerry took us to see so many wonderful locations and sights. We swam, snorkeled and scuba dived. We swam with the mantas and explored several islands. The drinks on the sand bar and by the bon fire were great. Seeing the dolphins swim with the boat and do tricks was once in a life time
Laura is an amazing cook. Every meal was special and delicious. We caught fresh Spanish mackerel and had it for dinner.
They are just great hosts and people. Joe is a very good bar tender and Jerry can navigate the ocean and reefs better than anyone.
Can’t wait to plan a trip with Big Blue again. If you are going to Fiji take a trip with them it’s worth it.

A day of snorkeling ,swimming and seeing the sandbar and islands. Joe and the others took such great care of the 12 of us. We were a family of 8 adults and 4 children 10-5 years of age. The lunch was the best bbq sausage ,chicken ,shrimp, salads,crackers,cheese,fresh fruit and so much more you couldn't eat it all. And lots to drink! We mainly were into water and soda but they had tons of beer and wine spritz you wouldn't run out :). We had the best day one to remember ! Thank to Joe and the crew!

Organising a birthday get together for 16 friends and keeping it perfect and a secret from the birthday person is no easy task. But with Big Blue they nailed it, and so so much more...
The boat was beautiful clean large enough for way more people.
The crew were a delight, funny, professional but still able to enjoy a beer with us and have a laugh.
If anyone is looking for a day trip for a group or weekend away with a few friends this is the best option in Fiji hands down.
I will be using them again, and again.
Laura, Joe, Matty and Jerry - Vinaka vakalevu and see you soon!

I was fortunate enough to spend 3 days aboard the Aparima with a group of friends in early January. The short trip arranged and guided by Joe and Laura was nothing short of amazing.
From help and advice with what to do and where to stay prior and post our boat trip through to their knowledge, passion and enthusiasm for all things reef and reef-related, they made our experience an unforgettable one.
Joe and Laura are fantasic and welcoming hosts and along with Captain Jerry and Chef Cisco made sure that all our needs aboard the Aparima were taken care of.
I cannot recommend Aparima, Joe, Laura and the team at Big Blue Fiji highly enough. I will definitely be returning to Fiji and the next trip will definitely include another trip somewhere in Fiji with Big Blue.

Where do we begin!! Laura, Joe, Jerry and George were simply amazing. This was our 5th catamaran charter and we have never had tears saying goodbye to our crew after just one week of knowing them. Even though our cruise wasn’t smooth sailing 100% of the time, we felt like they genuinely cared, compensated us and assisted us is making memorable experiences every step of the way. If you are wanting a customized experience, whether it’s adventure or leisure, Laura and Joe are your people! Venaka, Big Blue, and cheers on your next endeavor with Grande Blue!
