About
A true Fijian Island experience right on the doorstep of Fiji's famous Coral Coast! Just 45 minutes from Nadi. A few miles north of Natadola Beach on Fiji's Coral Coast and only 45 minutes drive from Nadi, this private island paradise is easy to get to yet feels very far away from it all. Robinson Crusoe Island Tours specializes in unique cultural experiences for the adventure seeker, including mud-crab catching, kava ceremonies, and spectacular fire shows. Located on Likuri Island , Robinson Crusoe Island Tours offers memorable cultural experiences in a laid back beachside setting. The island and the surrounding area are steeped in historical significance, with ancient pottery dating back 3,500 years found nearby. Historically it was reserved as a sacred island for ceremonies as well as a place of recreation for the paramount Chief of the area. There are day shows every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, and "Legends of the Pacific" show every night Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.

Not real Firewalking in show.
Public toilets have lime scale and broken door locks.
General sense of neglect.
The real problem here is the accommodation and facilities in general.
Dirty, run down accommodations, rubbish under the edge of the pool, tarps on ALL the accommodation roofs.
Photos are not current not even last decade.... Facilities are worn out and the water sports equipment is faded from the sun.
Ants in the huts (many), and lime scale in the toilet. Rotted wood, mouldy grout. and broken tiles in the shower.
SQUALID
Virtually impossible to get a refund. Terrible experience.
Promised a refund I had to do a chargeback through my bank as did not honour agreement for a refund which I was promised would be prompt.
Lots of hidden extras (beware they are cleverly worded), Would NEVER be allowed to continue to operate in NZ
Read the terrible reviews on trip advisor and BELIEVE them....
The truth is there is no money inside this business to be spent on maintenance or acting ethically.
Don't stay whatever you do - if you want the firedance / just do dinner even better do a show on the mainland.

Save your money and do a proper island visit/cruise with either captain cook or south sea cruises.
The “cruise” is simply a barge ride up the river and it broke down on the way there and on return. The “onboard bar” is simply someone passing around a clipboard and esky.
The facilities on on the island are all so neglected from the the filthy toilets, broken tables and awful beach activities. The bonfire was the saddest attempt I’ve ever seen and went out after about 15 minutes of us walking away from it and the “fire walking” was simply someone standing on some coals for 15 seconds
Unlike other island visits drinks aren’t included so it becomes very expensive for a full day.
The tacky traditional performance (set to modern music on an awful sound system) went on for way too long and gave us all cultural cringe.

This day tour was an amazing cultural experience. The river cruise (about 40 minutes) to the island was lovely, but it was when you arrive at the island (known as Likuri Island and Robinson Crusoe Island) where the adventure really begins. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by a group of locals who sing and play music as you disembark off the boat. The day was so well planned, with snorkelling, a cooking class, coconut cracking and a lovo lunch as well as the opportunity to watch the locals step on hot stones, witness the fire and knife dancing show, watch a famous hermit crab race, experience a weaving class (and take away a homemade bag!) and learn a lot about Fijian remedies on a medicine walk. In addition to this, you will have some time to also relax on the island. Drinks are included with the tour price, and the traditional lovo lunch is truly a special experience. This tour is a must if you want to experience culture on a beautiful Fijian Island. The views on the island were beautiful, the water was warm and the locals were all such friendly and hospitable people. You can also stay on the island, so enquire about this before booking the day tour, as the island is a beautiful place to stay for one night, or more!

This tour was absolutely amazing.
The entertainment commenced as soon as we stepped foot on the bus and continued right through the night.
The food was amazing, the singing and dancing was spectacular.
All staff were so friendly and eager to make everyone happy.
We did the Sunset Cruise and Dinner Show and would highly recommend it to anyone.
Thank you Robinson Cruise.

We visited this island within the cultural day tour and it was great. Very knowledgeable and diligent young staff played roles of hosts, dancers, nature and cultural guides, you name it. Next time we'll stay in the bungalows for a couple of days at least.

Worst trip ever! From rudeness and unprofessionalism of staff to food, amenities etc. Hardly do NOT recommend this place! These people are fake and hypocritical, talking smack behind customers back. Amenities are neglected. So far the worst experience I ever had!

We did the sunset dinner cruise. Where to start.Firstly, the term ‘cruise’ is very deceptive. We were squashed on to what can only be described as a large tinny. Don’t dress up for this occasion as water easily drenches the floor of the ‘boat’. The bar is an esky with a handful of drinks.
On arrival, we were greeted by song which was pleasant but it quickly went downhill again, when the welcome ceremony was clearly watered down with false information eg one of the dancers representing a local chief.
The fire walking was underwhelming as was the bonfire. The food was decent, and catered to vegetarians.
The main event which was the dancing and fire throwing was done to a pre recorded narration with modern music and dragged on.
The display seemed to aim to tick as many stereotypes of Polynesian culture as possible as opposed to being authentic. The dancers also dropped machetes and fire sticks almost hitting the crowd on occasion.
The resort is managed by an Australian woman who’s main agenda was getting as many likes on social media as possible. She walked to every guest several times requesting they go the Facebook page. However the only positive was being informed that some of the proceeds of the show go back to the local villages (which I hope is the case).
Save yourself the time and money and have a more authentic experience of beautiful Fijian culture and history.

Fabulous family day out that was very well organised. There was something for everyone to do and the itinerary for the day was well explained. You could choose to take part or spend time enjoying the beach and the resort. We loved all the experiences but were very disappointed with the snorkelling. There wasn’t much to see. Coming from Queensland Australia I think we have been spoilt with the Great Barrier Reef. The skies opened up on our boat trip back up the river and our captain was a trooper as not only could he not see because the rain was so heavy, he got soaking wet. All the staff were great and we really enjoyed all the experiences.

We went on the Sunset dinner cruise and show. We were transported on a boat with hard wooden benches which put a damper on the tour but the dinner and show made up for it. We were taken to Likuri island where we were offered Kava to drink . Dinner was cooked in a lovo in the ground where firewalkers walked on the hot coals after the dinner was removed. We were serenaded by several singers by a beach bonfire prior to eating dinner. After a delicious meal we were entertained by dancers doing polynesian dances they were highlighted with fire dances and knife dancing. We were honored for our anniversary along with a newlywed couple with a special dance. The evening fire dance finale was spectacular.

This was a great experience and a fantastic night for our 40th Wedding Anniversary.
We stayed at the Intercontinental Resort 10 minutes from the river so getting there by the tour bus was not a problem. The boat ride was definitely an experience in itself and typically traditional. On the island we enjoyed all the entertainment and food. This was our first time in Fiji and this was a night to remember, we loved the entertainment and the tradition. The people on the island are 5 star and we welcomed their passion, friendliness and culture.

hi, wanting to book through booking com and I was wondering what the difference is between the Island bungalow and Levu bungalow ?

Dear Toshnz, the main difference between the Island Bure (Island Bungalow) and Bure Levu (Levu Bungalow) is the size of the rooms, Bure Levu is bit bigger then the Island Bure. Also Island Bure does not have tea/coffee making facilities, Bure Levu does. - Vinaka, Sandeep.

What is the price of the tours for 4 adults and 1 child ?

Hey Tina,
We were just there last week and It was absolutely incredible. I think from memory were three options for Robinson Crusoe Island.
1. Day Trip which included lunch
2. Night trip which includes dinner/show
3. Day/Night combo which has both lunch and dinner.
We did the day/night combo and I think it was about $268 Fijian per adult and $85 per child. It was fabulous value as the only thing we had to spend money on way purchasing a few drinks at the island bar. This day saw us picked up at about 8.30am from your resort and dropped back at almost almost 11pm.
It included all transportation, bus and boat to the island, an amazing village tour and kava ceremony, an all you can eat buffet lunch, snorkeling, island walking tour, swimming pool, beach activities, lovo feast for dinner, fire walking demonstration, cultural dance and fire dance show.
It really has it all. I cannot fault the service provided and would strongly suggest you do the day/night combo as it was incredible value.
For memory the day only was about $230 Fijian per adult and the night dinner/show was about $170. This is going on my memory so sorry if I am a little out.
