Es una buena galeria de arte ubicada en la Ciudad Vieja, donde se pueden encontrar cuadros, esculturas y objetos de arte de los principales artistas uruguayos.
Ahi los turistas y los propios uruguayos pueden adquirirlos con las facilidades adecuadas.
Aún si no se va a comprar esta bien para admirar y conocer estas expresiones del arte del Uruguay.

En semana santa y en setiembre se realizan criollas y expo prado donde todo el pais expone en el prado.EN UN PREDIO EXTENSO DENTRO DEL Prado (zona de Montevideo),esta el predio que congrega a miles de personas principalmente en esos dos acontecimientos.En semana santa es principalmente criollas,exposición,en setiembre se agregan las embajadas de distintos países que compiten por el mejor stand y ademas venden a menor precio sus productos tradicionales.A esto se agrega un escenario donde actúan los principales artistas nacionales y alguno internacional.Los espectáculos no son gratuitos así como tampoco la entrada al predio

Siempre que puedo entro a Galería de Arte Portón de San Pedro. Es impresionante la cantidad de obras que tienen, y de excelente calidad! Todos artistas de renombre en la cultura uruguaya. Cuentan ademas con muy buena financiación. Y la atención es muy cálida y profesional. Totalmente recomendable!!!!
