I always love to take a tour when we arrive somewhere new. Of course perfect weather is always prefered, but on this tour on this day it was rainy. However Marcella our guide and driver as we call him Wally made the rainy day sunshine. I can't remember a tour where I laughed and learned so much. There wasn't an empty seat and we were the only 2 english speaking guest and what a blast. Marcella gave us a tour to remember and Wally drove us safely to and from. We highly recommend this tour and cross your fingers you have Marbella and Wally even if it rains ! Thanks Jim & Bruce

We enjoyed our city tour . Both the guide and driver were v pleasant and helpful . We stopped at The Congress Building for some photos and at a covered market . Had a nice coffee break there .Went to Pocitos and The Montevideo Sign . Also drove through area with embassies and nice park . Saw the Estadio Centenario where the first World Cup was played . It gave us a good overall view of the city so I recommend it

Our guide , Jorge was fabulous ...spoke very good english and gave us lots of information about Uruguay . Once we arrived at the winery , we were welcomed inside and seated but then we had to wait quite a while before anyone told us how the tour was going to proceed . Once they finally did , the tour was good but it was only the one winery . On other tours , in different parts of the world , we visited 4-5 different wineries , so this one was not really what we hoped it would be . It was still good though .

I knew absolutely nothing about Uruguay before coming here on our cruise, and we really enjoyed our visit. I am a travel agent, and I have done over 100 tours in countries all over the world. Out of all of these tours, the absolute BEST tour guide we have ever had is Gonzalo. Wow wow wow!!! We were all so impressed with how knowledgeable he was about every aspect of Montevideo and Uruguay. The passion with which he shared the information kept us captivated the entire day. So many tour guides are boring, and they are just reciting facts without any emotion. Gonzalo was so upbeat and positive and he kept our attention the whole time. It was such a pleasure to meet this young man and get to spend the day with him. Our trip to Montevideo was definitely better because of Gonzalo.

Enjoyed our tour up to Punta del Este, aided by an informative and friendly guide, Gonzalo, who spoke excellent English and Portuguese. Stopped off at a lot of places for views and photos. Many were free time fillers but overall gave the impression of them trying to pack a lot in for us. As with most itineraries, we stopped at the excellent Casa Pueblo, showing works by Vilaro. Even if not into art, it's worth the entry fee as lots to see. One aim for me was to see the famous mano/dedos sculpture of a hand coming out of the sand at Punta del Este. But - no fault of the tour company - this was a real let down. We went on a Sunday and it was absolutely heaving, with people clambering all over the sculpture. Couldn't get a photo or appreciate it as a work of art at all. If you have a choice, try and pick a weekday as it may be quieter. But overall a packed day out
