Nice monument but not worth a special tril

Stopped here as part of our tour. Nice monument but not worth a special trip. Park allows for great views of the soccer stadium built for the worlds 'do first World Cup soccer game

This is a great place to see on your bus trip around the town. There is also a few street stalls around the place to see.

what a way to honor anyone or anything....just amazing the size of it and the details, it's a pity that bandits have taken parts away yet if not told you probably won't notice

This is a park dedicated to bulls.The park is nothing much just a photo op in front of the bulls and cart.Your guide will stop here for a photo.

The monument is a tribute to the main of transportation on the colonisation, not just from Uruguay, but the pampas itself, which embraces areas of Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina.

This is near the main Uruguay Stadium. Nice park to work around and visit on an summers afternoon. La Carreta is a monument to depict oxe pulling a wagon.

This is for when you just want to stroll or have a picnic. Or, find something to do when you've exhausted the top ten of Montevideo. Don't get me wrong, this is a nice park like area, but Montevideo offers so much that the comparison makes this an 'if you have nothing else to do' place to go. I like... More

Touring the soccer stadium for example, then why not have a look at the monument. Nice and realistic piece of art, making you feel very comfortable and relieved that you don't have to travel around in Uruguay they way they did hundred of years ago... I'm a monument snob. If it's not huge, gorgeous, or commemorative of something historically significant, I ding it. This met none of those criteria.
