This is one of the most awsome monuments in the park. The park itself is worth traveling through. This reminds of the smaller manument a la Diligencia in the park.

Beautiful sculpture. The bulls look very lifelike. Great place to take pictures. It is a one of a kind sculpture. There is a guard and he will tell you where you can take pictures.

This huge, life-sized sculpture, created by Jose Belloni in 1934, is locaded in a “peace park.” A tribute to honor 19th century ox cart drivers, it features the driver, his wagon, livestock and oxen

Done in bronze and granite, the sculpture by Jose Belloni is a tribute to ox-cart drivers of the 19th c. The work dates from 1934. Stay on the path unless you want a lecture from a security guard, necessary as the work has been vandalized in the past. It is located in Jose Battle y Ordonez Park.

The Park is home to a vibrantly realistic ox cart monument and stadium. The monuments were created to commemorate the fact that the stadium was the site for the first World Soccer Cup organized by FIFA. Great photo opportunity.

This was just a 5 minute stop for photos of this beautiful artwork depicting an oxen team and cart with a soldier on horseback. Set a bit higher above a small pool, statue reflections in the water made for nice pictures. Created in the 1930s to honor 19th century farmers, it sits in a peaceful area of Parque Batlle.

The bronze sculpture captures the realism of an ox team cart and mounted lancer. It is dedicated to the ox cart drivers of the 19th century, many who travelled with Artigas during the liberation of Uruguay.
