The best part of this museum is the building, which is quite beautiful. There's nothing to learn about the gaucho, and the artifacts, fancy mate cups and decorative horse harnesses, clearlywere used by the elite not the gaucho, who needed practical equipment for working.

Short but interesting museum outlining the unique Gaucho history of Uruguay. Worth the visit, won't take too long.

Cool if you understand a bit of gaucho culture, good for kids because they have interactive activities for kids and they can learn a bit about older technology like typewriters and telegraphs

It is not a big place. But it is interesting to know how upscale people lived. They used to have a Chappel in their home. Stairs are a kind of steep.
