We had a tour booked with Bruno of MVD Tours that was cancelled due to family issues. He recommended Alberto and we were glad he did. Alberto was a very knowledgable, articulate young man who showed us why he loved Montevideo. To walk through the old town without the history and commentary by Alberto would have been a mistake. We... More

Alberto is very informative and considerate throughout the tour. He stopped with us and spoke casually about the old city and its history. He is a great guide and made the experience a great part of our trip to Montevideo. The city is intriguing and has interesting nooks and corners throughout. You will enjoy this tour

I had arranged a walking tour for 14 people with another guide. When that guide's wife became ill, he recommended Alberto. I contacted him immediately and was assured that he was available for our group and would be provide a high quality tour. We were not disappointed. Alberto was waiting for us as we left the cruise ship. It was... More

We had a wonderful private tour with Alberto! Our walking tour included all historical sights in the city center as well as art and literary institutions--various artist museums, the artist district, libraries, and book shops. We also visited a few local neighborhoods that gave insight into areas outside the port area. The tour ended with a few beautiful city parks... More

A fortunate accident: free tour in English. Good timing on my part. Guide was great. She knew her stuff. It was a great introduction to Montevideo and to Uruguay. Very Entertaining.

Thanks Alberto for a fantastic tour today. I got my own private tour and had the best time in my drumming lesson! Alberto is very hospitable and knowledgeable. Stumbled across International Day of Uruguayan Candombe which included drumming and dancing and lots of colour. Highly recommend this tour / company!

I was arriving into Montevideo from Punta del Este for one night, and figured a walking tour would be a great way to get a basic layout of the city. I had my hotel call Alberto and he said he would be at my hotel in two hours to take me around the city, perfect! Little did I know, I... More

Alberto is a great host and really helped me to get to know Montevideo. He's extremely welcoming - we had breakfast at his home on his rooftop terrace with great views of the city and then saw all the sights on foot. His knowledge of history and architecture in particular are excellent. And weaving craft beers, local wines, Uruguayan liquors... More

Alberto took me on a "private" tour in the rain this week (no one else showed up!) he was extremely knowledgable about I the city, its history, and as a US expat, Was able to draw Parallels between the cultures and histories. Great loop expertly took us through all the major points of interest, including some off the beaten path... More

Alberto, our guide, did a great job of explaining the history of Montevideo and the port area specifically. The 3 hour tour turned into 4 and a half hours as we indulged in a Mate and some goodies. Alberto answered our many questions and his answers were in depth and there was nothing he didn't know. He speaks perfect English... More
