Alberto is an excellent guide. We took 2 tours of old city and wineries and Puente Del Este next day. It really helps that he is native English speaker and grew up in New York so he can easily relate to what we may want or expect being from USA.

Thanks for the visit. I am happy you chose to see more of the country the day after the walking tour. More

We enjoyed our day with Alberto..starting with walking tour of the old city, then auto tour of outside the city. In retrospect, wouldn't have missed much if we skipped the 2nd half of the day,as not a lot to see, compared with other cities we visited on this trip (Rio,Buenos Aires,Puerto Montt, etc). Alberto speaks fine English, easy to communicate, and willing to do whatever he... More

I recommend this type of tour for a good 1st general sigthseeing. Is lovely to walk inside the historical area and our guide was a very nice woman with a lot of experience. A pitty we enjoyed her just for 1 hour. They are very well organised leaving at 11am and 3pm exactly. We did a tour in spanish with... More

We had a tour booked with Bruno of MVD Tours that was cancelled due to family issues. He recommended Alberto and we were glad he did. Alberto was a very knowledgable, articulate young man who showed us why he loved Montevideo. To walk through the old town without the history and commentary by Alberto would have been a mistake. We... More

Alberto is very informative and considerate throughout the tour. He stopped with us and spoke casually about the old city and its history. He is a great guide and made the experience a great part of our trip to Montevideo. The city is intriguing and has interesting nooks and corners throughout. You will enjoy this tour

I had arranged a walking tour for 14 people with another guide. When that guide's wife became ill, he recommended Alberto. I contacted him immediately and was assured that he was available for our group and would be provide a high quality tour. We were not disappointed. Alberto was waiting for us as we left the cruise ship. It was... More

We had a wonderful private tour with Alberto! Our walking tour included all historical sights in the city center as well as art and literary institutions--various artist museums, the artist district, libraries, and book shops. We also visited a few local neighborhoods that gave insight into areas outside the port area. The tour ended with a few beautiful city parks... More

A fortunate accident: free tour in English. Good timing on my part. Guide was great. She knew her stuff. It was a great introduction to Montevideo and to Uruguay. Very Entertaining.

Thanks Alberto for a fantastic tour today. I got my own private tour and had the best time in my drumming lesson! Alberto is very hospitable and knowledgeable. Stumbled across International Day of Uruguayan Candombe which included drumming and dancing and lots of colour. Highly recommend this tour / company!
