This morning Liz picked us up in a lovely car with driver and started our Graf Spee tour. We thought that this was all we would be doing but Liz drove us all around the City, good and not so good areas, and gave us a wonderful history of Montevideo and Uruguay and was very interesting on the subject of... We booked this 3 hour walking tour for our first day in Montevideo and we are so pleased that we did. Liz met us at our hotel and we started the tour at the Plaza Independencia. Liz was a wealth of information on the history of Uruguay and Montevideo architecture, religion, food (what and where to eat), culture, street art,... More

I must echo all of the other very complimentary reviews that Liz's tours have received. Liz is very knowledgeable of Montevideo's history and very personable guide. She'll take you all around the colonial era town and the nearby government buildings (and toss in a side trip to provide you with the story of naval battle between the British forces and... More

I did the 4 hour Graf Spee tour with Liz. She hits the ground running with maps, photos, and books right when you jump in the car. Liz was of course very knowledgeable about the world war 2 naval battle that ended up in Montevideo harbor. However Liz was also quick with answers to all my questions about the history... More

We decided to book Liz after reading reviews of 'Real English Tours' here on Trip Advisor and we weren't disappointed. We only had a very limited time in Montevideo as we were on a cruise ship stop but she took note of our requests and managed to accommodate our interests in a combined driving/walking tour. Liz is an incredibly knowledgeable... More

Liz gave us a great tour she loves history and her city so we really got the most out of it. When we returned to our cruise ship we found most folks had not enjoyed their experience in Montevideo. With a little pre-planning and research we believe Liz was a great choice to show us the city.

Liz met us at the ship and gave us the best walking tour of the city that we could have asked for. She is a wealth of knowledge and gave us so much history details and answered all our questions and took us to some very interesting places. When the tour ended she gave us a little map and told... We had a delightful 3+hour walking tour of Montevideo with Elizabeth. She's an extremely personable, knowledgeable and interesting guide who was quite informative about all the history and geography of this lovely city. She made our stay very special and memorable and we'd highly recommend Real English Tours when visiting Montevideo.

Montevideo was our last port before the cruise ended in Buenos Aires. We had gone on several tours and my husband and I agreed Liz was the best guide we had! She is very knowledgeable and took us on a fantastic tour through the old town. Her husband Richard handles the reservations and was very quick to respond to my... More

We were in port on a cruise and had previously booked a 3 hour walking tour with Liz. A few days before we were in port I realized that due to a knee injury I would not be able to walk for 3 hours. I contacted Richard by email and he was very quickly able to switch us to a... More
