We are a craft brewery located in the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Come visit our tasting room located along the Urubamba River for fresh brews and brewery tours. We are open to the public Wednesday-Sunday from 2-7pm. Yesterday was the second time that I visited this establishment - just out of convenience of where it is located. The first time was about six months ago - when my husband and I received absolutely terrible service and even worse food. We ordered the chicken wings and clearly the chicken had not been properly plucked because the base of the feathers were still clearly visible. We were starving and tried to pluck them out ourselves, but after one bite I was thoroughly disgusted. The flavor was horrible and with the feather issue I just couldn't choke any of it down. You also have to practically physically pull a waiter over to your table because they won't come their own volition.

So back to yesterday - I walk in with my husband (who is from Cusco) and his sister-in-law. We approach the bar to put in our order - no one addressed us, said hello, or asked us if we needed anything. I made eye contact with one man behind the bar and he actually leaned to the side to look at what was going on in the outdoor seating area. Waited....a waitress came to the bar - said nothing...waited longer and then finally a second man behind the bar asks us if we want to order. At that point I was so disgusted at not even being acknowledged there was no way I was giving this shoddy establishment my business. We left and I will never return. The food is terrible, the staff is even worse and I am baffled at how they mistreat their customers. Absolutely horrific customer service.

A guy, who took us there, lives nearby the brewery and he is a regular customer. No wonder! The great choice. Everything is good about the place. It is easy to find, on the main road, well sign posted, approximately on the first third of the drive from Ollantaytambo to Urubamba. Staff are very friendly and helpful, service is excellent. Beer is one of the best in the world and surprisingly big variety for a small brewery. And finally food was great too! The menu offers Peruvian food at its best. Highly recommend!

I brew my own beer so when I heard about this place, I had to try it. My wife, son, and I were staying in nearby Urubamba so I hired a taxi via my hotel and dropped in (about 20-25 minutes from Urubamba to Pachar.)

Joe, the brewmaster, is from the US northwest and is making solid American-style beers with some local ingredients. The black IPA was my favorite on-par with all of my favorites in Chicago. I also had the only gose-style beer here that I have ever wanted to taste again (including one I brewed myself.)

Joe's story on the how and why of opening a brewery in the Sacred Valley is a good one; beer geeks will be impressed to hear he interned at Russian River.

Two tips: First, they don't have to-go containers but they might be able to fill containers you bring. Second, my taxi back to Urubamba had to first come from Urubamba -- doubling the amount of time I thought it would take me to get back to my hotel.

Also note, they aren't open every day -- check their website and plan ahead!

Fantastic beers! You have to go on your way in or out of Machu Picchu! A quick ride outside of Ollantaytambo. So many styles! While we were there they had a pale ale, german pilsner, a brown ale made with chicha, a watermelon gose, a blueberry sour and hands down the best IPA I've had in South America! Great owners and staff to chat with too! Great views of the valley and a great vibe! You won't be disappointed!

What a great spot after 4 days on the trail. On the main road to Urumbamba. Well worth a few hours of eating and drinking.

Stopped for a beer. Very nice spot next to the river, surrounded by eucalyptus trees. Víctor was telling us all about the process of the beer. Great knowledge. Also gave us directions how to return to urubamba

Very enjoyable bar. Everyone was friendly and people were playing games outside. Victor the bartender was very friendly and helpful. Good selection of beers at reasonable prices. I had a flight and liked the pumpkin stout the best. I also like their wheat beer a lot.

Note that they are currently not selling much food - just empanadas. They told me that they were in transition re food. Not sure what they’re transitioning too, though.

We saw this on our way to hiking the Inca Trail and made a note to try to get back. We were glad we did! After bland and too sweet Cusquena offerings all week, we found a jackpot of excellent craft beers that stand up to small brewery offerings across the US.

The venue is beautiful and ideal for a small to medium group event. My only regret is that we didn't have more time to hang out there.

Juan was an excellent host and provided information about each of the beers (and we tried them all).
