Juanita is so very wonderful in helping us pick out the most beautiful artisan jewelry made by her husband. I highly recommend!

Wonderful jewelry by local Artisans
Jun 2019 • Friends
Artesanias Juanita offers variety of the jewelry, many linked to a local history. Their work is high quality, the service is very good and the prices are very reasonable compared to some places nearby and in bigger cities. We not only got our desired pendants, but also the chains and free gifts and pouches to keep our newly acquired treasures.
Highly recommended!

Tiny Shop-BIG heart

Mario is a great silversmith/jewelry maker and his wife Juanita so welcoming and helpful. Our group went there as part of our "day in the life in Sacred Valley" experience...we asked to go there as it was presented as an option. Adorable little shop amongst the quaint if not primative shops of Urubamba. The offerings were lovely and reasonable (I bought a few Incan crosses for gifts and a silver ring for myself). It is not fancy stuff! A young couple in our group had rings nade for each other , while we all looked on. Just lovely!

Great quality work and very personable

Upon entering their shop, the artistano and his wife were very welcoming. We were able to witness Mario’s hands at work, as well as peruse some of his beautiful silver work. I came away with two gorgeous pieces. A true craftsman in his field. Thank you for sharing.

Amazing jewelry and excellent learning experience
Jan 2019 • Family
We loved the silver ring making class that our pre-teen kids got to do. Mario is patient and teaches by demonstrating. Even though the class was in Spanish and our kids don’t speak much, they were able to follow all the instructions and create gorgeous silver rings that will last a lifetime. They got to do nearly every step of the work themselves, including soldering.
Also, the jewelry at Hotel San Agustin is amazing and fairly priced. We bought several pieces to bring home for presents and for for ourselves. Juanita and Mario are both exceptionally kind and we hope to see them again some day!

Out of the ordinary ... and two locations!
Dec 2018 • Couples
My husband and I saw TripAdvisor reviews of this place. We did a quick look over, saw the beautiful jewelry and made appointments to make rings. I was overwhelmed by the beautiful silver jewelry and fair prices.
During our visit, while Mario was preparing materials for my husband's ring (he decided he wanted 18k gold added to his ring), I asked about other colors for one particular design so Juanita took us in a mototaxi to her second location at the Hotel San Augustine. All of the jewelry is beautiful. I chose a butterfly pendant, and back at the shop Mario showed me the photos of the butterflies that he used make that particular pendant. The detail in the pendants was amazing. All of their pieces are unique.
They showed us the materials they used, and I picked out some stones to have made into earrings.
For the $300 we spent, we got 3 rings, 2 pendants, 1 chain, 3 pair earrings, all silver and all unique.
By the way, in case you cannot find it, it is located on Av. Mariscal Castilla, second block across from Jr. Convencion.

Loved our visit to the shop!
Jul 2018 • Family
Our daughter (8 years old) made her own ring in the shop and had such a memorable experience. Juanita and her husband were really friendly -- her husband patiently worked with our daughter as she shaped and finished the ring. Great selection of jewelry and such a great visit!

This place is a must-see!

There aren't a lot of artesenia places in Urubamba. However, Artesenias Juanita would be a standout in many larger markets. The quality, the selection, and the reasonable prices make this an exceptional little store. (Plus you can get your laundry done!) I was determined to just look and admire, but really, the distinctive beauty of the jewelry had me walking out with 2 sets of earrings. I also made an appt to make a silver ring the next day (Mario needs about 24 hour notice.) Local friends warned me that for such a reasonable price, I could expect my finger to turn green or black. Well, with Mario's patient help and explanations and demonstration, I now have a beautiful ring that I love and that has left my friends extremely surprised and my finger its natural color. Go there for some beautiful artesenias (there's more than jewelry!) and a warm, friendly, non-pushy buying experience.

Juanita rocks.

Literally. She and her team take rocks and transform them into works of art. Beautiful jewelry. Her prices are reasonable and she's simply very nice. Check out her work! Better yet you won't regret buying it.

How can you make an appointment for a class?

Call their number or stop by the shop. They use WhatsApp as well so you can text or call that way. They don’t speak much English (mainly Quechua and Spanish), however, they do speak a little.

Visiting on Dec. 26, we have a slightly packed schedule, however I have a 14 year old daughter, not to mention a "silver"
wife, that i'm sure would love your shop. What are the typical working hours?
