Our tour of the Seminario studio was one of the most enjoyable days we had in Peru. We learned how the ceramic art, a blend of traditional and contemporary styles, was made and how it related to the history of the area and its people. Pablo Seminario himself explained to us how he started making ceramics and how hw has... More

We had a tour of the studio and grounds before being turned loose in the gift shop. The style is "modern" but based on native patterns. Some pieces had a traditional look while others were very contemporary. You will find the traditional coffee mugs, bowls and serving pieces - microwavable but don't put them in the dishwasher! I liked the... More

This place is very nice. And has been brought up with a lot of hard work and perseverance. The logistics here are very well organized and the display of the history of ceramics in Peru is wonderful. Pablo and Marilu are very loving and if around are willing to show their art if not the guides there will offer you... More

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Ceramicas Seminario. Much of the work is a fusion of modern and traditional Peruvian styles. It entranced us and we could easily have bought a lot more than the pieces we felt we could carry easily back home with us. Leave sufficient time to watch how the ceramic wares are created... More

Pablo Seminario and his wife, Marilu Behar, have opened a ceramics shop that trains locals to create their awesome pieces. We stopped here on our way back to Cusco from Machu Picchu on our OAT trip. Very high quality products, well-worth a stop to tour the factory.

You get a tour of the facility and learn how the pottery is made. The artist couple is on the premises and the husband also does a presentation. They have really beautiful work all made by hand on the premises. While there are some extremely expensive pieces there are lots of affordable beautiful pieces including functional pieces. I love the... More

Meet the artist on the premises. Nice place to visit if you love homemad pottery, the staff take you on a journey showing a 7 minute video and take you among the grounds explaining each step in the pottery making from beginning to end. Shop to buy many keepsakes.

We visited this place at the recommendation of our guide and so glad we did. I came home with the most beautiful framed piece of art and was fortunate to be there when the artist was so I could meet him and hear him speak a bit about his trade. The place is well-staffed, open and friendly. We loved the... More

Wow - this was such a memorable treat! The workshops were inspiring, the artists were admirable, and the pottery and ceramics were exquisite. We met the artist, Pablo, and later recognized his work in one of the museums in Cusco. Reasonably priced and shipped home art. If you're in the area, this a delightful stop!
