Should no longer be called a museum, it is NOT a museum! It is only a store! I was so excited to visit a chocolate museum randomly here. When I saw the sign I wanted to get a tour. I entered the store first & no one was there until a lady followed. I asked for a tour & she said “No, this is only a store.” I was upset & decided not to be down & at least buy a chocolate to cheer me up. I have a feeling she did not care to inform me of any workshops or events. So I left unhappy & want to make sure the owner is aware of this through my review. I give it 2 stars for the 70% orange peel chocolates that were mediocre but not exceptional. I do not recommend coming here for any reason at all though.

We stumbled onto this place after leaving the Ollantaytambo ruins. It's easy to find in the little market just outside the ruins and offers free treats and choco tea, as well as lovely patio for resting and enjoying a chocolate croissant. My family and friends are most excited about the items I purchased for them here. It was also a lifesaver because I misplaced my chapstick and found a cocoa chapstick here, just as my lips were hurting from the dry mountain air. A lovely little visit!

I went in because it was near my hostel and it was free. The actual 'museum' is a little room with some written info on the walls. I felt like it was a ruse just to get people to come in and buy their chocolate. What a waste of my time.

We went in as I love chocolate but I was not impressed. The chocolate was very expensive.

We didn’t bother with the museum after the disappointment with the store.

We walked in and were given a tour about chocolate was made, and it was pretty interesting. They sell lots of yummy chocolate inside, but they didn't try to hard sell you or force you to buy anything. We weren't hungry, so we didn't buy chocolate. we just came in, watched the demonstration, and left. Never knew how white chocolate was made and things like that, and now we know!

Nice young lady working behind the counter greeted us with free chocolate tea and gave us a brief introduction to the place. Classes are available and I believe are two hours long? The Museum itself is free and a nice spot to stop in for chocolates and a short self guided tour...

This museum is sweet in taste and hospitality. The staff here are friendly and helpful, and not overly pushy like some vendors with their products. They have samplers for you to try when you enter the cafe museum, and they also have a cafe where you can try other products. I highly recommend their brownie with ice cream; my boyfriend and I have been taste testing lots of brownies and sweet treats throughout Cusco and this comes to the top of our list of favorites. There also is a Chocolate Museum in Cusco, but this one is far less expensive and provides similar products too. I highly recommend stopping here when you're in the Ollantaytambo area.

My wife and I had an amazing time. We loved learning the history of the chocolate, and really making our own, "bean to bar" sums up the experience perfectly! We loved doing the workshop in Ollantaytambo, where we were able to easily walk to the workshop, and there were so many dinner options afterwards. We also liked getting to try the hot chocolate and cocoa bean tea, there was so much more than "just" making your own chocolate. The gift shop was also an amazing spot for us to pick up gifts for people!

We loved making chocolate here. Brilliant Liset gave us a very informative but easy to understand history of chocolate and where it comes from then we filled moulds with delicious chocolate which we got to take home 45 minutes later. The cafe is yummy too. The chocolate making workshop was a welcome break from Incan history and trekking for the kids on this trip and a highlight for us all. Recommended!

I was super excited to go to this "Chocolate Museum" and even put it into our itinerary with our taxi driver. Yeah.....not a museum, not impressive, not worth a stop unless you want to grab a quick chocolate bar. Maybe people like that they give you samples.....free samples are always fun. But it's still just a small chocolate shop and kind of like a chain like Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory or Sees Candies (but not as nice). Thought we were missing something so went into the back room and there's a wall with photos of the chocolate producing process. There's also a courtyard with maybe 2 small tables to order a coffee. Wouldn't go out of your way to make a stop.

Hello Iqs! If by museum you expected a collection of artefacts, indeed, that must have been a disapointment. What we do do, however, is tour our visitors through several areas (nature, production, history), and explain them so many details. On top of that, we go ahead and have them sample our products, and offer them to do a 2hour class where they can actually make their own chocolate, right from the bean. Maybe we should rebrand into "Choco Experience" :) Clara Isabel
