It's neat little shop is located on the corner of shops near the main ruins plaza (if you are walking towards town from the ruins, it's on the right before you get to the foot bridge and weaving NGO shop). The owner is really friendly - like many of the people in Ollantaytambo. The shop has lots of nice jewelry, and a nice vibe with reggae playing. The owner (forgot his name) grew up in a remote Peruvian jungle village, and is very into native spiritualism and Rastafarian type stuff. He does wirework or macramé jewelry using local stones (and some semiprecious imported stones, like rosé quartz and tigers eye). I had him make me a custom choker using a blue-green stone that he said is common in the jungle areas. Cut and polished (which he does in the shop), it reminds me of turquoise. He also had neat pieces with the pink stones that you see in the ruins.

If you visit the ruins, I highly recommend checking out the row of shops that include Yacaruna. Most sell weavings made by locals, sometimes made by the person that's tending the shop that day. Much higher quality than you see in the stalls, and cheaper than buying crafts in the city. Here, you are directly supporting the artists, and getting one-of-a-kind goods in a cool environment.

Local markets with not a lot of hawking or annoyance. Vendors are polite and initiate haggling in some cases. Jewelry weavings souvenirs. some local foods which we tried against advice of traveling companions. Was tasty hot well made and id not get sick. Soda and beer vendors blankets and art. Very nice

We stoped in and decided to have two bracelets made. We picked out the stones, the string colors and the general style. Conaky was gracious and skilled. We are very happy with our purchases, in style, in quality and in cost.
