We were thrilled to see this opportunity before we arrived in Ollantaytambo. We learned a lot about the food storage facilities before coming here. The access point is relatively hidden and Google Maps has it wrong -- just look up to see where you need...More

Well preserved Inca ruins of houses and fortresses. You get a great view over the city as well as the famous archeological site. It is not touristy which is really good. However, once you climb there, you should be really careful (slippery and dusty road).

We found this hidden gem by more luck than planning. A bit steep and rocky at times but fantastic views of the ruins and town make it well worth the effort.

Would recommend anyone thinking of going to the archeological ruins to come here instead (or in addition to). While the ruins are around s/140, Pinkuylluna is free and boasts some great vantages of the ruins along the hike.

Walked around and climbed these Mountain Granaries one morning. It was fantastic - the views were awesome and there were bits and pieces to walk /climb to all over the mountain. Really enjoyed this place, far better than the Arch Park across the way -...More

If you don't want to pay to get into the ruins or just want a short day hike, take this one. When you come in to town take the last right turn before entering the town square. Walk about 2 blocks and you'll see a...More

If you're looking to avoid crowds, this is a great place to check out. However, it is not an easy climb and the path is rugged at parts. Entrance is free and there is only one groundskeeper (he doesn't speak English). The hike to the...More

My wife, two grown children and I did this hike. We are not climbers or hikers, but relatively fit. The first couple of minutes were steep steps and a little taxing. After that it isn't too taxing because parts are close to an almost sheer...More
