Great time in the shop!
May 2021
I went to the museum with my girlfriend, just to take a look, and we had such a great time! The person working there (Blad) was super nice, he gave us many chocolates to try, as well as different chocolate liquours, and he explained everything about chocolate! Super interesting and super fun, thank you so much Blad! :)

You have to make this a long and more interesting as the size is small. Samples are main advantage!!

ANDRES WAS EXCELLENT!!! You should definitely keep him!
Jan 2020
Andres has an amazing personality--he lured us in by giving us a very thorough history of cacao and why it's different--and better for your health--from the chocolate sold in stores. He is very intelligent, has excellent people skills, and speaks English fluently. To be honest, I don't know that working in this museo is the best job for him because his skills and abilities can take him very far in any customer-service related career if he so chooses. I have already recommended this place (and Andres) to all my friends, family, colleagues and professionals back home in the United States of America. I think many people will pay him a surprise visit! In fact, all of the staff here were very kind and friendly--from the guy who served me the juice to the cashier female. I highly recommend stopping by and learning a lot about stuff you didn't even know about!

We just pump into this free museum and meet Karina who was very helpful and passionate to introduce us about cacao from cacao trees to cacao products. If you come to Lima I will strongly recommend you to visit this museum.
Karina know a little bit Chinese and you can teach her more she will be very glad to talk to you in Chinese!

Karina Saved My Finger!
Sep 2019 • Couples
A couple days before we arrived in Lima, my boyfriend proposed to me. I think the ring is a size too small, and my hands were swollen from getting sunburned while kayaking. We’d also been all over the place, altitudinally, and I think I consumed too much rehydration salts. With all the swelling, my brand new engagement ring was STUCK on my finger!

I’d tried to get it off the morning of our visit, with no success. If things got worse, we were looking at a trip to the hospital to get it cut off. But in the couple hours before we caught a bus to Huaraz, I wanted to drink diuretics, hold my hand above my head, and check out Choco Museum.

When we got there, Karina welcomed us and showed us around. She gave us samples of chocolates from different regions, and explained the bean to bar process to us. During her explanation, she showed us a hunk of separated cocoa butter, and explained some of its cosmetic uses. I grabbed it and rubbed it all over my ring finger, then resumed listening to her fascinating story of where chocolate comes from.

As she spoke, I twirled my ring absentmindedly. And around the time she was showing us different bars, it came off! My finger was saved! Thanks, Karina!

It is more a shop and Cafe. They offer you everything to try which is very nice. The prices are expensive but it is Fairtrade. We also had a Hot chocolate and a Churro which was delicious! Nice way to have a break. They have free WiFi too.

From Bean to Bar
Sep 2019 • Couples
Today we enjoyed a wonderful workshop with Karina making our own chocolate. We learned about the production and the processing of cacao beans. We also roasted, pealed and grounded some beans and tasted different, vary nice drinks made from those. In the end we could also make our own chocolate bar with different toppings.

Chocolate workshop: from bean to bar
Aug 2019 • Couples
My girlfriend and I have participated in a “From
Bean to Bar” workshop at Chocomuseo in Calle Berlin, Lima.

Overall it has been a very nice experience, with our chef/teacher, Karina, being as helpful as possible and very fun to interact with.

The workshop per se has been useful in understanding the whole process of chocolate making, together with a fun section of “make your own chocolate bar”.

Definitely recommended.
