We were very fortunate to be able to listen to live music situated right in front of the church. The church plaza is a perfect place to sit and people watch. Across the pathway is a cool statue park as well.

Built by a baker for his devout wife, this adobe church is now suffering from age with its roof needing a critical rebuild in order to save the church. As a historical member of the architectural community of buildings in Barranco, this church has its fair share of history from being built out of the energy of Faith by its members to being burnt by the Chilean Army to having its status raised to that of a Parroquia, this fine structure and symbol of religious devotion deserves to be saved for future generations.

A rundown yellow adobe chapel located just above the Bridge of Sighs. It was built in 1750 on the spot where an illuminated cross supposedly appeared during bad weather guiding local fishermen safely back to shore. Worth a look as you walk past.

Almost destroyed by an earthquake it is on and off said to be under reconstruction/renovation. It would be wonderful if they would fix it up. The outside is beautiful and sits with wounded grace.

This is kinda neat, but in no means a sole destination as it is a building facade as you cannot enter and it is not being used.

This beautiful church was damaged by an earthquake and instead of repairing it, they built a new cathedral. So now, the church is home to a wake of vultures. I couldn't even begin to count them, but it is a sight worth seeing. It's next to the Bridge of Sighs, so together...worth a look-see.

Such a shame that a once beautiful church has been allowed to decay to such an extent. Hopefully the money will be found at some stage to restore it to it's former glory.

This is a small adobe church in Barranco near the Plaza. It is not in great shape, is worth a quick look if you are in the area. I found some history about it from one of the TA reviews here but could not find much posted nearby as I went there.
Worth a quick visit, some great photo ops too at or near sunset.

This colorful adobe church still shows its glory in the beautiful yellow tone. We visited as part of the day tour to see the Barranco area: Bridge of Sigh, the ocean, plaza, and the park nearby.
Beautiful and romantic setting. Great sunset in this area.
