About Magic in Peru
Magic in Peru combines the mysticism of Peru with the art of magic. We are currently offering the Barranco tour which takes place in several locations around the neighborhood, and the magic performed relates to Barranco's most famous landmarks and history. It’s a unique spin on a walking tour, but also on a traditional magic show. The performances are for small groups of 10-15 people and include ample participation, making the audience feel like they are part of the show. This tour is led by Peruvian magician Alex Linian who was trained by David Blaine and Paul Harris, and was crowned Latin American magic champion in 2009.

Magic in Peru was an awesome experience. There are so many interesting things to see and do in Lima. Magic in Peru was the very best thing we did in the month we spent in Lima. Alex is a artist and a joy to watch and to interact with.

We had a super time on the Magic in Peru tour and loved visiting Barranco, so quaint. Quite honestly, I am not sure how Alex (the talented magician) executed any of his magic - it was truly magic. Our mouths were open and our eyes wide at the end of each trick and we're still scratching our heads!! He is truly talented. We loved walking through Barranco and ending up at ocean overlook, a lovely spot to catch the sunset and we lucked out with an especially nice day. If you're looking for something to do that is a little different from the traditional, I don't think you'll be disappointed and our kids enjoyed the magic quite a bit, making this a family-friendly experience. Kara from Magic in Peru was also very helpful in providing nearby family-friendly restaurant suggestions post tour! Great communication pre-tour, too!

Had a great time on this tour! Very entertaining for all ages. We met a family on this tour that we ended up running into several times throughout our time in Peru, so it's also a great way to meet fellow travelers. Barranco is a cute, lively neighborhood in Lima and this tour explores the area while providing a personalized magic show. This is not just another walking tour.

I normally love catching tours while I'm traveling to get an overview of the city I'm in. However in reflecting on these experiences, most bits of historical information are lost soon after. Magic in Peru is quite different from the typical tour structure. Integrating magic with history and making the tour interactive made this an experience that will be memorable both in terms of how fun it was and in terms of the history of Barranco. Alex is such a talented magician. Throughout the tour I was wowed, awed, and amazed. My trip to Lima would not have been the same without this magical walk through Barranco.

Truly amazing experience, unlike any other. I loved being able to explore the city coupled with a performance! I highly recommend this unique tour - it was organized, fun and definitely something I won't be experiencing elsewhere. My friends and I had such a fun afternoon together, great for a group thing!
