We had an amazing Peru trip with Arturo of Lima Tasty Tours. Arturo was the guide for my family 11 years ago. When my 80 year old mom wanted to see Machu Picchu I reached out to Arturo to plan a trip for the two of us so we could go at our own pace.
He planned an outstanding trip to Ollantaytambo, Maras, Morray, Pisac, Machu Picchu, Cusco, and ending with a Lima city and food tour, and stay overlooking the ocean. He was so accommodating when selecting hotels to stay at and really listened to our budget and what types of places we wanted to stay. All hotels booked were great. Everyone was incredibly hospitable. We had comfortable beds, excellent breakfasts, and very friendly staff.
Arturo was with us the entire trip and is a great ambassador for his country. He has a deep knowledge of Peru’s history and is full of great information about the state of the country currently. In addition, we had an amazing driver and guide in the Sacred Valley, Isaac. He, like Arturo, has a wealth of information about Peru and many personal experiences with farming, hiking the Inca trail, etc. We felt in good hands with Isaac driving and loved his enthusiasm. We also had an outstanding guide, Hector, in Machu Picchu. All three were incredibly patient and helpful with making sure my mom was able to fully enjoy all the sights at a pace that worked for her and were always next to her if she needed assistance climbing stairs that didn’t have a railing. They also helped us connect with locals to better experience their way of life.
Food was delicious everywhere we went. It really helps that Arturo is a foodie. We tried everything from guinea pig, alpaca, chicken, seafood, potatoes (they have 100s of different types), super fresh fruit and homemade fresh juices, to ceviche, corn beer (Chicha), and Pisco Sours. Yum Yum Yum!
I cannot say enough good things about Arturo and our trip. We felt completely safe and thoroughly enjoyed every part of the trip. He is an honorable man, with a great sense of humor, and a great love for his family and country. Note: 11 years ago, he was great with our children also. They were 8, 11, and 14 at that time. He felt like a close extension of our family.

This tour gave us many informations to help us understand peruvian way of life. Our guide Arturo and Sheila ( in stage) were welcoming, smiling, very generous with information about food, recipes and people. We tried many new taste and it is clear that Arturo loves to eat well and share that passion. He is also very careful about cleanliness and takes care of everything. We highly recommend!

Did the Lima market food tour with my partner and her parents, and it was an incredible experience. Arturo was a funny, kind, incredibly well-informed guide who seemed to have friends everywhere we went. He led us on a fascinating tour of a local market, showing us local soups, sandwiches, sweets, and — the highlight — exotic fruit from across Peru, which we stood and sampled for maybe half an hour. All of them were like nothing I’ve ever had.
Then he took us to Lima Centro, where we met up with another guide, Julio, who told us about the history and architecture of Lima, happily answering our many questions. The tour concluded with a leisurely lunch at a local spot, where Arturo and Julio ordered us a mess of delights: ceviche, rice with duck, a stewed goat dish, potato fritters, and some of the best orange juice I’ve ever had. All in all, a perfect first day in Lima and Peru. I’d recommend this tour to anyone, as long as you’re hungry and curious.

This tour was one of our favorites in a twenty four day visit to South America. Lima was spectacular and Arturo was the best! We ate great food and learned so much about Lima in a short walking tour around the city. He was so funny and entertaining. His knowledge and love of Lima was abundantly clear. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to learned about a culture and their food.

We had an amazing experience on the Lima Market Food Tour, which we booked on the Lima Tasty Tours website. Arturo, our guide, was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable about the history of Lima, as well as the food we were eating. (Thank you, Arturo!) It was really fun to explore markets, including trying delicious fresh fruit and vegetables, and sample local cuisine at restaurants. We got to walk through non-tourist areas of the city, and have experiences and food we definitely would not have discovered on our own. If you love trying new food and exploring new places, Lima Tasty Tours is a wonderful choice. We highly recommend doing one of their tours - we had such a fantastic time!

My husband and I had a wonderful experience with Arturo and Lima Tasty Tours. My husband was not feeling well on the day out tour was scheduled and Arturo graciously adjusted out tour to the following day. He picked us up from out hotel and we went to the local, authentic market. We got to see, taste and feel a variety of local foods. It was amazing! Then he took us an artisan area where we got to see street art. Then he took us downtown and saw historical building, tasted Pisco and had dessert. He then delivered us back to out hotel. What a wonderful day and tour. Can't recommend this enough!

This tour was the best thing we did in our 5 days in Lima.
Artur is very knowledgeable about Peruvian food, history, and architecture. We got to taste many unique fruits and dishes and also got a walking tour of central Lima.
Highly recommend this tour for people who enjoy food and want to learn more about Peruvian food.

Peruvian Cooking Class & Market Tour.
We highly recommend using Lima Tasty Tours for the tour we did. They offer a few different tours.
We were lucky to be the only ones on our tour so got a very personal experience. Both or guides, Saheyla and Arturo were fantastic. They knew so much and answered any questions we had. You could see how passionate they are about their country and
the delicious, nutritious, organic food it has to offer Il
The tour itself was from 9am - 1:3opm and provided hotel/hostel pick up and drop off, along with transport all around Lima to the places we went. Tasting of several things in the market, a 2 course meal, a jug of chicha morada (black corn squash), a cocktail of pisco sours and 2 very knowledgeable local guides with very good English!
We highly recommend using Lima Tasty Tours for the tour we did. They offer a few different tours.

We always try to start our visits to new places with a market tour, so that we better understand our food choices in any given place. This felt even more necessary in Peru.
The communication was great from the beginning and Arturo and Sheyla were the perfect hosts for us-educating us on the beautiful and unique food culture and history and engaging in a way that felt like we were hanging with old friends.
They places they took us were very local, well curated stops, with special anecdotes and relationships throughout the day. We started calling Arturo the mayor pretty quickly, because he is clearly a deep part of the relationships in the market, and made us feel a part of it too. Sheyla brings important context, and a certain kind of joy to the tour.
We also ended up hiring them for a day to Ica and Huacachina and it was magical.
This is the perfect way to get to know Peru-you will be in great hands no matter what.

Lima Market Food Tour
Our last Day in Lima/, Peru we spent with Lima Tasty Tours and it was a really Nice way of saying good bye and .. Hopefully " hasta la vista" to Peru:
The guides were friendly, open and sharing with us all their knowledge. We all shared a nice day with lots of tasty food and fruits in the market, sharing smiles and friendlyness all day. In the market we tried the best chocolate ever, and even an Amazonian dish. The atmosphere was great. In the historic center of Lima we learned a lot and got to try delicious types of pisco. We also had lunch where we tried 3 different dishes and one of them was our favorite in whole Peru. Our guides were so open and easy to talk to, we had fun all day.
When we left we felt were leaving good friends AS well AS Peru ".

Hola Jacqueline, el tour "Que Rico" cuesta $90 USD por persona, desde las 9am hasta las 5pm. Son en privado empezando en su hotel; sobre el niño no habría problema en tenerlo, además no paga nada.

Hola Hilda, The tour "Que Rico" last 8 hrs aprox. and it costs $110.Usd per person, which is paid at the end of the tour. It's a private tour .
