One of the most beautiful large churches in Lima so it's very popular for weddings. Don't think I remember a Saturday evening without a wedding here. The stain glass windows are really pretty. The church is almost always open. Close by is one of Gaston Acurio's famous restaurant and a large shopping center and a beautiful park full of ancient olive trees. Lots of reasons to visit this part of San Isidro.

A very interesting small church but with great stained windows and very ethereal atmosphere. Certainly worth a visit if you are in the area

We arrived on a Saturday night at 7:00 to attend a wedding. The prior wedding party was still inside so there were a LOT of people at first. But it soon sorted out as the church is quite large. The architecture has a modern feel to it. The tabernacle is dark ornate wood set against white marble, creating a very dramatic effect. For a wedding it is a terrific location. But, for a family outing with teenagers, I would pick something else.

It is located in the heart of San Isidro, walking distance cafes, and the beautiful park well know as El Olivar, parking is safe.

I'm prejudiced as my wife and I were married here 44 years ago. BUT that said it truly is a beautiful church. Take time before or after mass and look at the decorations and the sub-altars. Lots of weddings take place here so if you see one enter and you'll be amazed

In the bustling Lima suburb of San Isdro much has changed in the past 50 years. One thing that hasn't is this beautiful church. We were married here 42 years ago when San Isidro was mostly residential. Now it still boasts beautiful houses but is also a commercial center with small and large shops, a shopping mall and tons of restaurants. Still Virgen de Pilar functions and his a source of quiet and peace. Mass still crowded, the architecture grand and the inside decoration wonderful. It is a very active church run by the Passionist order.
