This museum does not seem very well advertised and the staff in our nearby hotel had not heard of it. However, we followed our instincts and found it quite easily. First we had a delicious snack in the nearby garden. This place was full of students enjoying the morning sun. The museum has a fabulous shop and the architecture and layout is great. It's an all white series of spaces. The exhibition we saw focussed on displaced people. Frustratingly the explanations were only in Spanish, but the political messages of the simple but powerful pieces was very clear. I was deeply moved. The pieces are very daring. This was the first day for us in Peru, so good to be impressed by really contemporary works…..a contrast with the ancient splendours to come. If you enjoy art this gallery is well worth a visit .

I think this museum really depends on what they're exhibiting. When we were there, it was quite the boring exhibition, and with only two small rooms and a big one (of which half was sort of a pop-up library), it didn't offer much. The explanations were extremely minimal, the art was mediocre, not really reflecting the topic of the exhibition and well, you could go through the museum in 15 minutes if you were to spend a minute with each art piece...
I think if it's a good exhibition the museum could be really cool, as the halls are spacious and big, giving it a nice vibe, but if the explanations are always this minimal, it would still only end up being a photogenic museum.

It is small museum, there is a nice collection inside and some beautiful gardens.
It is better to check which are the expositions. Avoid the restaurant, the food is not so good.

With a free afternoon to do something in Miraflores, we chose this contemporary art museum. It was perfect for a two-hour visit.

It’s not a large museum—just a few buildings—but that made it accessible and easy to experience in an afternoon.

There was a small gallery of a what seemed to be a permanent collection; the works were focused on Latin American artists. I really enjoyed many of these paintings, especially those that were riots of color.

A special exhibition was focused on color theory. It was fabulous!—educational, quirky, and interactive, with a nice mix across various forms of media.

The setting of the museum, right on the coast, was lovely, too—a large green space is a nice place to rest for a bit, enjoy the views, and perhaps have a picnic.

Worth an afternoon!

Unless you are in the immediate area, it will take you more time to get here than to walk in, see everything, and get out. What a waste. Pictures of rocks, projected on rocks? One room had a pile of dirt. I don't know if that was an exhibit or work in progress. Even the washrooms are two horrid stalls outside the main building. And for all this, I have to pay a premium as a guest in this country? Color me offended.

My girlfriend and I visited the ‘museum’ during our trip to Lima, and I wish we had read the reviews before coming.
20 soles entry for non-Peruvian residents and all in all there really isn’t much to see.
We really took our time and we managed to get round the whole three rooms in about 20 minutes.
I would’ve given a one star rating but we learnt a few facts about immigration from Venezuela and China and therefore this was the only credit I can give.
We didn’t eat in the restaurant so I can’t comment on this.
Overall - don’t waste your money.

One exhibit of portrait photography of cultural identities which might be of interest to Limans but few else. About three sculptures poorly curated. Not sure how this warrants the name 'Museum'.

We really enjoyed the relax bar situated outside the museum. Unfortunately be aware that we got food poisoning from the lemonade and the smotthie that we took there. They probably used tap water to prepare the baverage, which is not suitable for European stomachs. Shame we got so seek on our last day in Pérou. Have a soda if you decide to drink there.
