It's amazing that this structure survives to this day in a metropolis like Lima. The adobe mud brick pyramid dates back to about 200 BC when it served as a temple. Later it was abandoned as a temple and then used as a burial ground....More

Arrived just after opening so had the whole place to myself. 5s entry fee. Visited the small museum and particularly found the skull of interest. You can walk up on top of the pyramid structure and there are signposts providing information. Very strange to be...More

This adobe brick pyramid was located just a quarter mile from my hotel (Novotel), I didn't have the chance to visit it during my previous trip, so this time, after breakfast I walked down to see it. It is amazing. You don't expect this type...More

Although this is a very small site, with talk of the history of the site on the info provided. It is a wonderful, easy place to get to in Lima, that shows a small step pyramid off. It was 2.5 sold to enter less that...More

The climb to the top had amazing views of the cityscape, plus a little Incan museum near the base. It was a great fun little trip while on our tour of Lima.

Located in the midst of a bustling city, I admire the government officials who conserve archaeological sites such as this and Huaca Pucllana. It's a small archaeological site but still rich in history. I also saw a couple of Peruvian hairless dogs, such sweeties.

A little of history is always good so you can better connect to Peru's history and its people. I would not advise to visit the Huaca(s) alone, my visit was part of a Bike tour I found on exploorperu.com which also included a tour at...More

So...there really isn't much to see here: a small museum and a restored Huaca but it's worth the 5 soles admission. This Huaca is located in the heart of San Isidro so is safe to get to and stroll around. I didn't visit the Huaca...More

Some part of ramp should be built recently. When you get up there, you see some archeology sites of ordinary people lives. A small museum also shows so artifacts.

Similar to Huaca Pucllana, this pyramid is located in the heart of Lima's financial district and is surrounded by condos and office towers. There's a little museum with some important information about the site and the civilizations that inhabited the area. The huaca has been...More
