Most famous beach summer residential sypot close to Lima. Dozens and dozens of Peruvian families make the hour trece to Ancon Thursday or Friday late afternoon and stay hthe weekend at their summer apartments or as guests at their friend's. Nice protected beach, boat rentals, good restaurants. Many are members of either the yacht club or the Ancon Casino where the beaches are private as are the pools and the restaurants.

Summer for many upperclass Peruvians means 4 day weekends at their apartment overlooking this bay. It's an enclosed area with an entire community of summer residents. Restaurants, clubs, swimming boats and a pretty Catholic Church. Food is great especially the fish and shellfish. This trip we managed just a day at the very end of the season. Glorious.
