I can't imagine having chosen a better school for learning/improving our Spanish. The instructors are highly trained, friendly, make the learning lots of fun and keep the classes innovative. Lots and lots of conversational type learning. One day our instructor - the wonderful & talented Fiorella - went shopping with my wife, having Estella do all the enquiries in the stores. Another time we went to lunch together and Estella and I did all the ordering, asking questions of the waiter, chatting with other customers, etc. Estella has gone from not one word of Spanish to the point where she just chats away with everyone whether on a bus, in a taxi or in a store. Tulipan is the best. It is well managed, the cost is very fair, they are accommodating if you need a break to travel and our private instructor, Fiorella.....she just makes it so much fun. We look forward to class every day!

During my eight week vacation stint in Lima Peru, I used six of those weeks(twice per week for one and a half hours) to do a short course at El Tulipan. It's a great and friendly environment - especially if you are a Retiree. Since my aim was to understand the spanish language and communicate as much and as comfortable as possible wherever I visited or shopped, my young Tutor "Luz" ensured that I was tutored properly by encouraging conversation in the spanish language with patience and understanding(consideration being given to my age). I think that it is a wonderful opportunity for anyone who is interested in learning more of the culture of Lima. Thanks to El Tulipan for offering this type of course.

My wife and I booked a survival Spanish class. The admin beforehand was good and the teacher on the day was fantastic. The course was good. The only thing that would made it better was having specific vocabulary and activities targeted at travellers such as booking transport, accommodation, food and drink etc... Overall it was worth doing and cheaper than in other cities.

The school service is in a very high level. They explained to us about the place and the lessons in order for us to know everything we can before we decide which school to choose. On that day we had a test to check our spanish level and to know which class you belong. (Very fast process) The teacher Rosa is in a very high level!! She controls Spanish and English languages perfectly. In addition, she is very funny and knows even to combine spanish words to your way of life (traveling and having fun) Its a teacher for 3-4 students so It's like a private lesson. We did that for two weeks (10 lessons). The most of the study material was basic grammar and you learn the vocabulary on the way with the examples. And one of the most important thing is that the school is located in a nice and very cheap area in Mirafloures, Lima. 3-4 hostels within a 10-minute walk. We personally recommend on ´´Manahostel´´
