Our Lima tours aim to promote Peru’s fabulous food while giving guests the behind-the-scenes city tour of the capital's most interesting districts. These gourmet culinary tours in Lima were designed so that visitors explore the local cuisine, culture and traditions while being treated like royalty in the City of Kings. All in one day, we take visitors to a local market, secret garden cafes, and Lima’s landmark restaurants where they will prepare Peru's flagship dish and drink - Cebiche and the Pisco Sour - as they wind through the city's most emblematic districts. Private tours also available upon request.

Well organized food and city tour. Gives you a great feel for the city and culture in a few hours. My teenage daughter came with me and we were joined by a group of Americans and Australians. The San Isidro market visit was informative and the Pisco/Ceviche class at Amaz was great too. I personally didn't like the Huaca Pucllana... More

Being a foodie I felt that Lima was the place to pay the big bucks and get a sampling from some of the best restaurants this city has to offer. I still think the tour is a bit overpriced but it doesn't cater to backpackers and includes some delectable menu items, so you have to think of it as an... More

I have lived in Lima for a year and learned about so many new restaurants on this tour! A friend of mine visiting from the USA and I did the night tour with Jocelyn in English and had a fantastic time. She was extremely knowledgeable about Peru, Lima, and food. Her English was excellent. The driver, Robert, was safe and... More

GIven to me as a gift from friends, this tour was an excellent sampling of Peruvian delights -- from Pisco Sours to Amazonian treats to anticuchos and ceviche -- we tried it all! Lourdes was a fun and knowledgeable tour guide who was able to introduce us to the the city of Lima and its history with engaging stories and... More

This tour was a great finish to our Peru vacation. Sylvia was a delightful, knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide, whether she was introducing us to Lima neighborhoods, fielding questions, or explaining the foods at our different stops. The stops were well-chosen, from the morning coffee at an organic roaster to the lovely restaurant where we finished lunch. One real highlight was... More

We were in Peru for almost two weeks. The food tour was the first excursion of our vacation and it was one of the most memorable, fun and tasty outings from our entire trip. We tasted amazing fruits, had a great time learning how to make ceviche, and were in great company. Our tour guide was interesting, informative and made... More

We recently enjoyed a wonderful evening of food discovery in the culinary melting pot of Lima. Beginning with a Pisco sour at a beachside bar, progressing to innovative food from Amaz and then more traditional food in the wonderful ambience of an archaeological site to finally wandering the lively streets of Barranco, smoothie in hand, the whole evening was a... I highly recommend taking a tour from The Lima Gourmet Company! We originally booked the night tour, but our flight was cancelled so I contacted the company to see if we could switch to a different tour. They weren't obligated to allow us to take another tour but very kindly allowed us to take the day tour the next day.... More
