Mr. Fernando was there in the airport to pick me up with a very friendly approach. He was supposed to simply take me to the Larco Museum. When I let him know that I was also considering a visit to the Archaeological Museum, he showed me the way between both museums - and then he called the Larco Museum to make sure they closed very late (10PM), so I changed my mind and decided to visit the Archaeological Museum first (they are closed after 4PM). Mr Fernando recommended me a good restaurant to have lunch near the museum (El Bolivariano) and he even showed me the location of an archeological site nearby (unfortunately I didn't have time to visit it, but I intend to, next time in Lima) and gave me a leaflet of this site. Mr. Fernando was very polite and genuinely interested in my well-being. Of course I will use their services next time in Lima and recoommend them to everyone visiting the city.

I was in Lima for a week coordinating a delegation of 16 people, in, out and around Lima. I found Lima Cabs online in a simple search for "cab services in Lima", and for the start I was very impressed with their website. you can book online and in a few minutes you will receive a confirmation. So, I booked all airport pick ups (some were even very late at night) and all pick ups went smoothly, all prepaid service via portal. When I got there, I had to make a few extra reservations and I needed minibuses to accommodate the delegation, and Lima Cabs was always there to assist me. The drivers were very professional and always on time. if there was a delay, they would call to let me know about their status. I definitely recommend Lima Cabs to anyone going to Lima, specially if you have a big group of people to shuttle around.

If you are visiting Lima for the first time or don't want to hassle negotiating with a street taxi, Lima Cabs is the best way to go that is still affordable. For $29 they will pick you up at the airport (with sign and very punctual) and whisk you to your destination. Hotels charge about twice as much. They are very easy to book online and to reach by phone.

We visited Lima for two days from the Dawn Princess cruise ship (docked at Callao) on Wednesday and Thursday 6 & 7 August 2014.
We booked two day tours in advance through Fiorella Sánchez at Lima Cabs. We had a car and driver/guide for the two of us for the two days and the total cost was US$240 for each day.
We had received dire warnings from the ship about the dangers of Callao and particularly about the area around the dock gates. Also about visiting Pachacamac independently and hiring taxis at the dock. The ship ran a shuttle bus ($8 each way) to a modern shopping centre with high-end designer shops and other stores but nothing most tourists would be looking to buy and nowhere near any of the likely tourist destinations. Princess claimed this was much safer.
You are not allowed to walk from the ship to the dock gates but the port ran frequent, free, shuttle vans to a secure point just inside the gates. We walked out and our excellent English-speaking guide Edward was waiting for us. We had no problems at all and saw no sign of any problems. However, the area was certainly not one that I would wish to walk around at night, but you find such areas in most major cities of the world.
We started off before 9.00am on both days and managed to miss much of the traffic problems in Lima. On the first day we visited the Pachacamac ruins and then returned to the San isidro & Miraflores districts, having an excellent lunch in the Larcomar Centre and ending the day at one of the Indian markets.
On the second day, we first visited the Plaza Mayor (before it got closed off by the police because of a demonstration), the San Francisco Monastery with its beautiful library and catacombs and ended at the amazing pre-Incan Larco Museum.
We had two fine days out with good value for money and excellent arrangements and service by Lima Cabs. Highly recommended.

“I highly recommend Lima Cabs for your transportation needs around Lima, Peru.”
I have used Lima Cabs for transportation from the airport to my hotel several times before, and I have always been pleased with their service. They are sure to be on time, and the drivers are very professional and personable.
Arriving to a busy airport like the Jorge Chavez in Lima, Peru can be a little stressful and overwhelming, even for people who have traveled dozens of times to and from this airport, and even if you are fluent in Spanish. Unless you have a friend or relative that is going to pick you up, it is very convenient to exit customs and find the Lima Cab driver waiting for you, holding a sign with your name, making it easy for you to find him immediately. The driver will wait for you in case of any flight delays. The fleet they use for their services is modern and very well kept.
Besides the convenience and comfort of using Lima Cabs transportation, the Jorge Chavez airport is located in an area that is not the safest. You can find dozens of taxis and other transportation means right outside the airport, and they will even cost much less than the going rate for Lima Cabs, but you might be exposing yourself to dangerous situations. Lima Cabs going fare is US $27.00, which I find very reasonable.
Every year I travel to different countries on vacation and I like to have all my reservations finalized before I depart. I like that any time I am going to visit Lima, Peru I can email Lima Cabs from any country in the world and make my reservation. One of their customer service representatives, Ms. Fiorella Sanchez, is the most professional and organized. She will email you right back with a confirmation and she is very dependable. I now email her directly when I want to make any reservation.
In Lima, it is very easy to get transportation TO the airport. Most nice hotels have their own taxi service; there are shuttles; there are taxis available everywhere. I enjoy the punctuality and reliability I get from Lima Cabs, so this last trip I even arranged for them to pick me up from the hotel (at 2:00 a.m.) and drive me to the airport. I didn’t have to worry about asking the concierge to get me a taxi on time for my departure, or making sure I had a taxi available. The Lima Cabs employee, Fernando Gonzalez, arrived as expected and I arrived to the airport relaxed and on time. As expected, he was very professional and nice. In case you do not speak Spanish, his English was very good.
This year we also took one of Lima Cabs TOURS for the first time. We took their tour that drives you to Ica, Paracas, Chincha, the Ballesta Islands, and a flight over the desert to see the Nazca Lines. Mr. Edward Ventocilla came to pick us up. He was on time and the drive was very pleasant because Mr. Ventocilla was very nice and knowledgeable of the history and geography, so he would be giving us interesting information as he drove. He also did a great job in getting us set up for all the activities, and we did not have to worry about anything just having fun. At lunch, Edward took us to a restaurant that had excellent food. Mr. Ventocilla was very professional throughout our tour trip, but he was also a really nice person. It was a pleasure to have him drive us that day. Finally, he speaks English very well too.

Despite the relatively small size of the company, it is professionally run. Our booking was promptly handled and prices were clearly spelt out.
Pick up at the airport was punctual. We were literally bombarded with information by Fernando right from the minute we met him till we arrived at the hotel, things like what to watch out for and what not to worry too much about. Most useful indeed.
The city tour next day was serviced by Edward, the boss himself. Wonderful man -- courteous, friendly, and not at all pushy. Obviously, he is knowledgeable about the city and has told us a lot about the history.
We are delighted to have met them both, and we would not hesitate to recommend Lima Cabs to anyone who wanted a private tour of the city and the areas around.

Private tour review - Right from the time we first e-mailed Lima Cabs we were treated professionally. We did a private 6 hour tour of Lima. Fernando was our guide and driver. We were picked up promptly at our hotel and experienced an excellent day. Fernando was very professional and spoke excellent English. He took us to all the best spots in Centro and we also requested a few additions which were easily added. Fernando knows the area well and at each historical place he gave us detailed information. Any questions we had were answered in great detail. We wanted to visit a few extra areas within Lima and knew we would go over our 6 hours. The additional charge per hour was reasonable.
We have done tours with many companies worldwide, but Lima Cabs is one of the best. Fernando and Lima Cabs service is 5 stars.

Don't be fooled by the name. This is not a 'taxi'... This is a great boutique tour company and a private cab company. Great value. We used them for airport transfers as well as a day tour of Lima. Very professional airport transfer. The driver who picked us didn't speak much English so I got a bit worried but as soon as we sat in the car he called the owner Edward. Edward mentioned that our tour guide would indeed speak English. He even offered to have the driver wait at the hotel and pick us for lunch once we checked in. Now the best part... Our guide Fernando was amazing. Very friendly and definitely proud of his culture and loves to share it. So many stories: lima history, culture, current world, himself. Nice touch: He bought chocolates for our son(and us). Highly recommend them.

Edward was very knowledgeable and friendly. He picked all 6 of our family up right on time in a late model clean, comfortable Hyundai van. We drove to the historic centre with Edward sharing his knowledge of Lima and Peru with us. We visited the catacombs of San Francisco church, watched the changing of the guard and enjoyed a nice lunch at Tanta's restaurant. Edward delivered us back to the International terminal on time for a very reasonable $140.00 for 4 hours of his time. It would not have been possible for us to see Lima without him as we only had a 7 hour gap in our flight schedule back to New Zealand.

Hello - How do I get in touch with you directly? I will be in Peru for business AND some personal time. I think I need a driver in Lima on June 27th (airport pickup); june 28th for the day and June 29th for the day and then to the airport (maybe some tourism on the 29th). I speak Spanish, so English is not necessary. Also, do you have any companies you would recommend in La Libertad? (Looking for Trujillo to Huamachuco and back - on different days; Trujillo to San Pedro de Lloc to Pacasmayo and Pacasmayo to Chiclayo - so 4 full days or possibly 5 (June 22 through June 26)
