Peru Cycling gave me the most memorable, educational and enlightening bike ride I have ever experienced. Their Lima City bike tour has been carefully and meticulously studied, researched, and planned resulting in probably the most unique tourist experience one can possibly have in Lima. They know what their clients need, not just what they want, and they are able to uncannily tailor your package at your own level of expertise and skills.

Never hesitate to engage Anibal for you are in good hands, probably better than any other tour provider can take care of you. More importantly, they do this with a passion to share the true Peruvian culture to every client and they would always accommodate you as conditions will permt.

Anibal's team will also take extra steps to ensure that your biking experience in Peru will be worth every cent you give them, probably more than you can expect

My husband and I booked a private Sacred Valley tour to Moray and Maras while we were in Cusco. I became a bit worried when, on the night we were scheduled to have our briefing, our guide did not show up for the meeting. I reached out to Anibal who described that the guide had gotten into an accident, and our new guide would be coming by the next morning. No problem- these things cannot be prevented. Our new guide came the next morning and gave us a run-down of our tour, which was scheduled for the next day, and said he would be there at 8:40 AM. By 9:00 on the day of our tour, we still had no guide. Our front desk reached out to Anibal, and the guide (who was different than the one we had met the day before) finally showed up around 9:15, over a half hour late. This did not impress me- I am a very timely person and I expect others to be on time as well.

Fortunately, my disappointments ended here, as we had a fantastic day, more than making up for the schedule issues. The trip started by going through some small towns on dirt roads, and then diverted onto trails. The scenery was incredible the entire way- we couldn't stop taking pictures. We stopped in Moray, at a traditional Quechuan home in Maras, and at the Salineras salt mines. All of the attractions were very interesting.

A word of warning- this is NOT an easy trip, and despite what you would think when looking at the itinerary, is not all downhill. I am a triathlete and cycle 20-40 miles about 3 times a week, and really struggled on some parts of this trail. We started up over 12,000 feet, which was hard in itself for someone like me from sea level. However, the first 10 or so miles had several relatively short but decently steep uphills, which made it quite difficult! There were also a few spots about mid-way through the trail with some very technical descents. Granted, I am more of a road cyclist than a mountain biker, but some of these areas did make me extremely nervous and I had to get off of my bike. I didn't mind walking the few tough spots, and the rest of the trail was definitely do-able and a fun challenge, but just a word of warning!

One other thing that I would recommend to them as an improvement is to bring more water. We brought our own water, even though they were supplying water, and ran out of both less than half way through. Fortunately, our driver stopped to get more, but in a dry desert climate like this, you need to be prepared with plenty of fluids.

Overall, we had an excellent day and would definitely do the trip again. What a wonderful and fun experience!

Last week we did the Lima cycling tour with a group of 8. It was a last minute booking but luckly Anibal was able to do the tour with us. Lima has a lot of traffic, but Anibal leads you in a safe way through the city. He knows a lot about the Lima and brings you to a nice place for lunch. We really wanted to taste pisco sour and he didn't mind to bring us to the best pisco sour place.
I did a city tour myself before. But it is nicer to do it by cycle, you will see Lima in a different way!

My boyfriend and I took the easy Pachacamac Tour while in Peru for two weeks. It was a great tour, with a stop at one of the local orphanages/historical sites. The lunch rest stop was an amazing local restaurant with Peruvian food. The only complaint I had was that the last couple miles of the tour were in very heavy traffic. Would recommend the tours though, very nice people to work with!

Dear Jessica. Thanks for your comments about the Pachacamac Bike Tour with us. I'm happy to know you enjoyed and liked it. As always on each tour we do our best having in mind your satisfaction. In fact it is not just a biking tour but an experiential bike tour organized to give our customers the opportunity of a close encounter with real life in the countryside near Lima. The restaurant is our favorite place where local folks use to go to have good and nice authentic peruvian meals and the final visit to the monumental Pachacamac site passes by that short section of the road with some traffic, I think this section is easily managed either biking on the sidewalk or roadside or going on the support vehicle. Wish you all the best. Greetings from Lima and hope to see you again! Aníbal -Peru Cycling

Anibal was a great guide. A nice leisurely six hour tour of the centre of Lima from Miraflores and returning back along the coast. What a great way to spend a Sunday! And he kindly took photos aswell! So glad I chose this tour!

My boyfriend and I were visiting Lima for two days as part of a cruise and we knew we wanted to see Peru on bikes, so we contacted Peru Cycling about doing a mountain biking tour. The tour and our guide, Anibal, were so amazing and exceeded our expectations!

Anibal and his driver, Jose, picked us up from the port right on time. It was so nice of them to go out of their way to do so -- the port, Callao, was a bit out of the way from downtown Lima. We drove into Lima to pick up three more travelers who joined us on the tour and headed to the Pachacamac Valley. Anibal provided all of the equipment and supplies we needed -- bikes, helmets, water bottles, bananas, energy gel, etc. My bike was very comfortable and in great condition.

And then, we were off, and the ride was excellent! The path to our first stop had breathtaking views of the mountains and river, and it was a good warmup for what was to come next. We stopped at relatively untouched ruins, and Anibal told us about the history behind them. Next, we went on a more challenging trail that overlooked the Pachacamac Valley. The view was stunning, and it was fun navigating the narrow trail and coasting down hills (after climbing them, of course!).

After the ride, which lasted maybe 4-5 hours, we cooled off while Jose and Anibal drove us and the other travelers back to Lima (and took us to the port).

The ride itself was great, but Anibal's friendliness and knowledge really made the tour special. He knew secret spots that were off the beaten path, and he went out of his way to show us a good time. He also took photos and videos of our group and sent them to us afterward, which I really appreciated!

If I am ever back in Peru, I will definitely contact Anibal/Peru Cycling again to go on another great tour. I'd recommend it to any travelers looking for adventure and looking to see some of Peru's hidden gems!

I highly recommend touring with Peru Cycling during your visit to Cusco. Our group of 4 adults enjoyed a full 10 hour day of biking through the Sacred Valley on a private tour that was customized by Anibal, based upon our requests. The bikes were in good condition and the friendly, English-speaking guides were very accommodating. We were able to travel safely at our own speed, while enjoying the many sights of this beautiful region of Peru. We were accompanied by a support vehicle, which allowed us to carry our additional gear, as well as the purchases we acquired along the way. If you are looking for a great way to see the countryside and visit the local communities surrounding Cusco I would with great confidence suggest utilizing Anibal and Peru Cycling for your active adventure.

Mr Anibal the owner, guide is an excellent. He is very amiable as well as excellent in taking care of me during the local cycle down town trip. He is now good friend, and very professional. We went to all locations & he also became my photographer. I would recommend to anyone coming to Lima, please have one short half day cycle tour with Anibal, as he makes trip so wonderful & memorable that, you will get to know Lima & Peru culture besides knowing the history of Lima in short period of time. I will be taking one more trip with him on my next trip to Lima. Please engage Anibal without any other thoughts.

Due to a motor and train strike my boyfriend and I couldn’t get out of Urubamba to see any of the local sites in the Sacred Valley. We spent the morning desperately calling tour companies to see if we could rent bicycles and ride the 15 miles to Ollantaytambo as no tours were running due to the protests and road blocks.

Through Peru Cycling we got hooked up with the local bike company in Urubamba and got the most excellent service. This will be one of our most memorable days and it’s all due to Peru Cycling that we didn’t lose a day of adventure and touring. I highly recommend this company for activities as you will get personalized and compassionate service. The strike could have ruined our trip but instead we made the most of our day!

Easy to contact via WhatsApp which was huge in getting this arranged despite the very last minute plan!

I very much enjoyed a day of cycling with Anibal and Gino up the river valley to Antioquia. Spectacular views, great exercise and fantastic service. Anibal picked us up from our hotal and drove the support vehicle, stopping every few kilometres to make sure we were OK and sufficiently well watered and fed. Gino cycled with us, ensuring there were no problems on the ride. A great way to spend a day in Lima. It was so nice to get out of the city, see the countryside and get some exercise. I will book again with Peru Cycling next time I’m in the country!
