Mr. Anibal Paredes picked us up at our Hotel on time. The bikes were ideal and he helped us with the technical settings. We stopped at a food market, where we tried a typical Peruvian snack, at an olive Plantage and at a big archeological sight. At last we had a coffee and a cake in a Café with great view over the ocean. During the tour Anibal told us different stories and facts of the old Peruvian culture. Anibal is very intellectual and we realised that he is very interested in the history of Peru. The tour is absolutely worthwhile, not difficult at all and we can definitely recommend it.

Due to a motor and train strike my boyfriend and I couldn’t get out of Urubamba to see any of the local sites in the Sacred Valley. We spent the morning desperately calling tour companies to see if we could rent bicycles and ride the 15 miles to Ollantaytambo as no tours were running due to the protests and road blocks. Through Peru Cycling we got hooked up with the local bike company in Urubamba and got the most excellent service. This will be one of our most memorable days and it’s all due to Peru Cycling that we didn’t lose a day of adventure and touring. I highly recommend this company for activities as you will get personalized and compassionate service. The strike could have ruined our trip but instead we made the most of our day! Easy to contact via WhatsApp which was huge in getting this arranged despite the very last minute plan!

This tour way exceeded our expectations. Anibal did such a great job of combining beautiful scenery, with interesting history, sites, rest stops for talking, and a variety of riding areas. We rode on the nice promenade in Miraflores, the bike path through the city, quiet streets, and even busier streets. It was the perfect mix of relaxing, stimulating, and adventure! We learned and saw so much of Lima that we would not have experienced on our own. We stopped to have lunch in a Chifa; the food was delicious. Anibal is passionate about his country & history which makes for a very delightful day. We would highly recommend this tour for those who are experienced with bikes and up for a full day. We hope to make it back to Peru and do another longer tour with Peru cycling in the Cusco area - they do overnight tours as well. We arrived via cruise ship at Salaverry/ El Callao port, it is an industrial port, Anibal picked us up outside the port where the complimentary shuttle dropped us off.

Bikes are good. The tour explanation and contextualisation was very poor. There were random stops, with information that felt improvised/ not well prepared. There is a lot to improve in the content. Also the route was not that attractive, we passed many times through very busy car dominated roads, lots of pollution, lots of claxoning,  Not relaxing, not very informative, not very inspiring. We didn't see the best of Lima in this bike tour. The price $40 p.p. (group of 8 people) was to high considering the quality.

I very much enjoyed a day of cycling with Anibal and Gino up the river valley to Antioquia. Spectacular views, great exercise and fantastic service. Anibal picked us up from our hotal and drove the support vehicle, stopping every few kilometres to make sure we were OK and sufficiently well watered and fed. Gino cycled with us, ensuring there were no problems on the ride. A great way to spend a day in Lima. It was so nice to get out of the city, see the countryside and get some exercise. I will book again with Peru Cycling next time I’m in the country!

Dear Dan and Michael, thanks a lot for your comments. We are pleased to hear you are happy and satisfied with the Antioquía bike tour and our service. You guys did a great ride, this is not an easy route but a phisically demanding one. We did our best and reached our goal: your satisfaction. Hope to see you again some day for another adventure biking trip. Kind regards. Aníbal and Gino Peru Cycling PS. See the pictures of the ride on our Facebook page
