This was a great experience. Mainly because Paula was so sincere and keen to help us see all the wonderful places she loves about Lima. We enjoyed every minute of our tour with Paula, especially through the local food markets. In fact, Paula has such good taste in food that I think that would be a tour all of its own. Tasting the delicacies of Lima at the local food markets. Thank you Paula, you brought Lima alive for us.

The team, with main guide Tito, picked me up in Miraflores. We drove to the launch site and off we went. The ride was an absolutely amazing, memorable ride. It goes through places off the beaten path, ruins tourist never get to see, and along a few km of narrow trail used by Pre-Incan cultures. By narrow, I mean 24 exhilarating inches with steep drop offs into water or down hills on either side. The tour is a must do if you are at all interested in Peruvian history and cycling.

Pachacamac is cool - Tito is informed, but the ride getting there is what makes it stand out from other tours.

Important: I am fairly healthy and have basic bike riding skills, and the ride was challenging for me but worth it. Avid cyclists would enjoy it, but if you are totally out of shape or scared of heights it is probably not the right tour for you. The roads are rarely paved, and a mix of rocky, sandy, dirt, and a bit of mud.

Paula offers a genuine local experience, shopping at the market, travelling on the bus to her home, meeting her mum Mercita and preparing gorgeous causa, ceviche and pisco sours in their apartment. Everything was fresh and made from scratch and we enjoyed a lovely meal as we learned about day to day life in Lima.

Before we left, Paula gave us great recommendations on her favourite Lima museums and restaurants and where to find the best coffee in Miraflores. All in all a great experience which I can really recommend for any visitor to Lima.

We felt very welcome and comfortable in the home of hostess Paula following a brief visit to a local food market and bus ride. This a very real experience where you get to learn how to make great Peruvian dishes and drinks, but also gain a real insight into local culture and lifestyle. Paula’s family provided excellent encouragement and back up support, particularly when I created a Pisco shower rather than a Pisco sour (embarrassing for me but they had seen it all before). Can highly recommend and they give you the recipes too, so you can try when you get home. Great fun that is best followed by a siesta given the great food and drinks.

A fun way to see some of Lima that I likely wouldn’t have otherwise. Tito was a great guide and kept us safe. One piece of advice - wear sunscreen, even if it’s overcast!

Paula was our guide and very personable. The group was 7 in total and just the right size as we weaved our way through the market, and on the city bus to explore ancient catacombs. Paul is knowledgable of the city and willing to answer everyones questions. This was my 2nd Urban Adventures tour (1st - Mexico City) and I'd recommend to anyone looking for a local lens on an interesting city.

I ended up going to this alone after my friend’s flight was delayed, and I had a great time! Rodolfo was my guide, and he was very friendly and informative. He took me to the market, then to the home where the meal was prepared. Much of the prep had been done, but I was taught the “secrets of 4 generations” from his aunt, who showed me how to make ceviche and causa. Rodolfo made me a delicious Pisco sour, and I had a lovely time! Thanks so much for a great afternoon and meal!

Our Night Bites tour was a good experience, despite some setbacks we experienced. The night of our tour, there were some strikes in central Lima which caused large traffic delays. Due to this, my girlfriend and I were stuck in an Uber for 2 hours trying to get to the meeting place for the tour and ended up missing most of it. This, of course, was not the company's fault. However, we were disappointed that no effort was made by the company to let us know that these events were happening that night and that we should plan ahead, and no effort was made to contact us once we were late. But, when we were finally out of the car, we called Urban Adventures and they were very helpful in directing us to the next stop on the tour and having the guide wait for us there. We only caught up with the tour for the last stop, but our guide did go out of his way to get us an extra drink, the famous pisco sour, because we had missed that portion of the tour. It was overall a good experience, I have taken off a star only because we would hope the company would be more proactive in informing customers when there are large events happening that will impact their tours. For anyone traveling to Lima, definitely give yourself ample time to reach any destination you need to drive to.

Hello Dear Passenger, Thank you for your comments here, this will help us a lot to improve these points against us. Most of the time we inform the passengers who send us their emails or phone numbers in the reservation. We usually have no access to that information. We will find the way to start passing this information to all our clients. Thanks for your constructive comment. Hope to see you again in Urban Adventures, Kind Regards,
