My friend and I chose to go with Peru Summit Adventures to plan our entire vacation in Peru. I was referred to Carlos by a friend and I am so happy I chose Carlos, the owner of Peru Summit, to organize my trip! My trip to Peru was the best trip ever. All we did was tell Carlos what we wanted to do during our time in Peru and he created the entire itinerary for us. Peru Summit’s tag line stating they don’t make tours, they make experiences is absolutely true. My experience with Peru summit was extraordinary. I must also mention our Inca Trail guide, Juan Carlos, was the absolute best. He went above and beyond to make sure our experience was amazing. I would recommend Peru Summit Adventures to anyone who is going to Peru!

Peru Summit were AMAZING!!! They created a bespoke 3 day trip for us and given it was private, it was so flexible. We could stop off where we wanted, were taken to see little hidden sites and when we went to some of the more popular hikes (like Rainbow Mountain) they made sure we were up there super early! I have health/dietary issues as well and they made sure that was all completely catered for which was incredible and greatly appreciated. I've been to Peru a few times, but I'll never travel with anyone else but Peru Summit. LOVE that it is a small family run business that truly care about the environment, local families and communities. They are more expensive than the tours you will see around the Plaza de Armas in Cusco, but trust me you get what you pay for!!

We booked several private tours over several days during our time at Cusco, and we had amazing experience throughout!

As a private tour provider, the manager can quote and help with almost anything you need in the area (transportations, airport pick up / drop off, contacting specific local vendors, guided tours to various locations in and around Cusco. With that said, they are not pushy either and just helps with whatever we need.

We had 3 full day tours, throughout Sacred Valley, around Cusco to Pisac, and then a tour recommended by them to Ausangate 7 Lagunas. Our guide Hugo was super friendly, nice, accommodating, knowledgeable, and funny. He made the tours super fun and personable for us.

The price is definitely higher than non-private tours, but is comparable with other private tour companies here. We'd highly recommend booking with them!

I had been wanting to travel to Peru to hike the Inca Trail and visit the Amazon for some time. A google search lead me to Peru Summit Adventures which I selected for my trip due to their ethos, ethics and approach to the tour. I had am amazing experience over 9 days. The 5 day Inca hike was grueling at times, but Ruben, my guide, was patient, supportive and encouraging. He is has a wealth of knowledge and passion about Incan history and shared that throughout the hike. He also gave me several 'small breaks' which helped to build my confidence in completing the hike. I highly recommend the 5 day vs 4 day Inca Hike as you get more time along the hike to complete it and you see all of the the Inca sites along the way. You also have time to enjoy the scenery and a day in Aguas Calientes which is not to be missed! I noticed the other tour companies rushed through the hike and the individual Incan sites, including the tour of Machu Picchu. But Ruben spent much time explaining the history of the entire region along the hike so that by the time I reached Machu Picchu I had a better understanding of its significance.

The porters and chef were phenomenal as well! I arrived to a large tent ready for me, delicious regional foods and daily snacks to keep me going. I was amazed at what the chef prepared each day. And there was plenty of food to keep you energized!

The four days in the Amazon at Refugios Amazonas was spectacular. I highly recommend at least four days to see this amazing part of the world. Our guide, Lucia, was fantastic, demonstrating so much knowledge and passion for the region. She takes many pictures and videos for you using her high powered binocular so no need to bring extra lenses if you don't want to the weight.

In all, I HIGHLY recommend Peru Summit Adventures for your trip to Peru. It is worth every penny.

I would like to share our experience with Peru Summit Adventures during our 5 day/4 night Ausangate Trek.

Peru Summit Adventures is a private local company (100% Peruvian Tour Operator) and they organize everything in favour of their clients. They try to give their best to satisfy all requirements/wishes from the clients and select only very small groups for their trips for a good price (we’ve been only 3 participants)

Carlos and his wife (owners of the company) as well as Juan Carlos (guide during this trek) helped us with our decision to join this incredible trip and visited us one day before the trek to explain everything we need to know about the tour and what we’ll need to bring with us.

We have been picked up on time at the first morning, the transport to the starting point was perfect and very comfortable.

After approx. 4 hours of driving from Cusco our amazing trek started near the Ausangate mountain range.
We met for the first time our entire team of one cook, two muleteers and 5 pack horses including an emergency horse.

The trek is quite challenging (6 out of 10) for a sportive person, due to the height until 5.150m, what can be easily underestimated.
During the whole trip Juan Carlos will take care of all his participants and he did his best to help us as much he could do.
The ambiance during this 5 days was perfect as the entire team was full of joy and happiness, what made the trip a whole experience for itself.

On day 3 we unfortunately had an emergency case, due to height sickness. In this urgent case everything has been organized perfectly from the side of Carlos. The pick-up and the private transport back to the hotel in Cusco as well as the reservation of additional nights in our hotel were organized by Carlos from Cusco, thank you again for that!

One of us continued this trek until the end, and we‘d like to thank you for this amazing experience and recommend this company to any traveller who would like to do some Trekking tours in Cusco.
The people, the food, the support as well as the landscape during this trek are incredible!

Also to mention: We rented two sleeping bags, which suits perfectly for the conditions in the mountain area.
They use high-quality equipment (tents/hiking poles/sleeping bags) to make your visit a perfect experience!

From start to finish, every aspect of Peru Summit Adventures was superb!! I booked our adult family of 4 for tours throughout the Sacred Valley (Pisac, Ollantaytambo, Moray, Chinchero, Tambomachay, Pukapukara, Qenqo, and Sacsayhuaman). Carlos worked with me to perfect our itinerary and make our trip effortless. We were picked up from Cusco airport in a beautiful van by our amazing driver, Franco, and our tours were led by Juan Carlos (JC). The knowledge JC had of each of our sights was fantastic. Our family loves the history, culture, and ecological aspects of the region and JC answered our many questions with depth and clear knowledge. A great tour guide is one that not only has a keen understanding of the area but also works their best to accommodate everyone in the group. JC was truly remarkable!! He was flexible and accommodating even when things were not on the original itinerary (our famished group needed lunch in Urambamba!!). We were also so grateful to Carlos and his family for arranging the pachamanca lunch---our best meal of the trip!! This was definitely an experience that we will never forget. I have no hesitations and will definitely be arranging future trips through Peru Summit Adventures!! Btw: their prices were extremely reasonable, especially for this level of service!! Thank you for taking such wonderful care of our family!!!

From our first phone and email contact with Carlos to our goodbyes at Cusco Airport, this was a top experience. Travelling in these times is uncertain but Carlos handled every aspect, from suggesting the itinerary on our bespoke 3 day trip to the unexpected events, with friendly professionalism and we felt well looked after. Percy and Hugo guided us; Percy in Cusco and Hugo to Machu Picchu. Everything was perfect and our trip to Machu Picchu especially will stay with us forever.

Peru Summit Adventures give a tailor made, professional and complete service. From arranging unexpected Civid tests to providing equipment we didn’t have, they were on top of everything Thank you guys, you made memories!

We chose to use a local operator for our Choquequirao Trek so we could benefit from a local immersive experience. We were not disappointed! From the beginning, Carlos was very helpful and answered all our questions in a timely fashion. We found the pre-trip information packet to be thorough and helped to prepare us well for the 5-day trek.

Our guide, Juan Carlos (JC) was very knowledgable about the local area, the culture and history. As we hiked, he would often stop to tell us about foliage we encountered, so everyday was a learning experience. The trek was strenuous as we expected, the Peru Summit team gave us leave to hike at our own pace everyday, we took breaks when we needed it and pushed harder when we wanted to. Our departure date had only my husband and I, so it ended up being completely private, which was a nice bonus.

Also this review would not be complete without a nod to the remaining PS team, Julio-Cesar, Ottoniel and Alberto who took very good care of us. The food was delicious, especially the desserts!

We chose to go with Peru Summit for the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu tour as well. JC was our guide for this leg too. We visited Moray, Maras Salt Ponds and Ollantaytambo on the first day and finished with an early morning tour of Machu Picchu on the second day. We stayed at the Inti Punku hotel in Aguas Calientes, it’s a reasonably comfortable hotel to spend 12 hours.

Overall, we had a truly positive experience with Peru Summit. We planned the Choquequirao trek over 3 years ago, and originally wanted to travel there in May 2020. Unfortunately the pandemic forced us to delay our trip, so we were very excited to finally complete the trek this year. We look forward to returning to Peru for more treks in the future!

I've never thought of getting a local private tour before, but man am I glad I did. I hit the jack pot with this company! Hugo was amazing, professional and very well educated! The driver (forgive me for not remembering his name right now) was definitely an MVP when he found motorcycles to rent last minute. Every part of the 4-day tour was more then i expected, but i must say the motorcycle ride through the local villages and up to the top of one of the mountains surrounding Cusco, with views of glaciers and then riding by one of the high alpine lakes was, I felt, was the best part. I loved meeting Hugo's mom and having tea at the house he grew up in. They do everything they can to get you the experience you want. I wish I had more time.

I did 2-days in Ollantaytambo and 2-days in Cusco when I hired the company. I did ruins, lakes at the base of glaciers at 15,000 feet with local cooking experience, cooking class, amazing meals while on the road, quality shopping and last minute motorcycle adventures. They even brought me to the local hospital to take a COVID test before I flew out and thank god they did, there is no way I could have navigated that process myself.

I recommend this company for any group that wants to get a quality local experience.

I booked a day trip to Pisaq with Peru Summit and it was an absolutely great experience. Unfortunately, Pisaq always comes up short on the Sacred Valley tours and so I decided to dedicate a full day to this amazing Inca site. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any group tours for Pisaq, so I decided to dig a little deeper into my pocket and treat myself to a private guide for this attraction. Among the few providers offering a day trip to Pisaq, Peru Summit appealed to me the most and after the first mail contact I was convinced that I was dealing with an absolutely professional agency. My guide(also at the same time the founder and owner of the family run agency) was Carlos. He really has incredible historical knowledge and provided me with all the important information throughout the day. We more or less spent the whole day walking/hiking and exploring the Inca site of Pisaq. For lunch we had an excellent box lunch and following the hike we had a short tour of Pisaq town. All in all, it was a wonderful day and I was happy to pay the relatively higher price.

Unfortunately, I did not manage to book any more tours with Peru Summit, but I can only recommend the agency to those who want to experience a top organized adventure.
