We saw this twice, once alone and once with a guide, I'd say opt for the guide, you get a lot of extra information. Lots to learn about Inca construction and Culture, then the colonial religious overlay of course. I was surprised at all the 16th century religious artwork, but fascinating to learn that most of it originated locally in that period, from a specific school of art that was sponsored by wealthy Spanish and Incas alike.

An incredible place. The mix between the Inca culture with the Spanish. Everything is very clean, and you can buy the entrance ticket where the tour begins and do the tour with a guide, and have all the information about this exciting place that hides a lot of history.

What is amazing of Santo Domingo is the Inca foundation and the remains of Cusco's most important temple. The Inca walls for the Temple of the Sun room are alone worth the visit. It's an absolute MUST in Cusco.

Beautiful monastery that has been exquisitely maintained. So old Inca walls and a section of modern art. Once again a lovely courtyard

If you were to see just one religious site in Cusco, this should be it. The other big churches / cathedral in the main square are easily skippable, as they offer nothing unique, but the Santa Dominican Convent does: it is built on ancient Incan walls, and hence includes examples of Incan architecture. Well worth the visit.

Lots of religious art, of course, but found the examples of how the Incas built their structures to be fascinating.

The Incas origins of this monastery are an architectural marvel. The walls, rooms, stairs, the inner court and complemented by the cloisters in a grand setting overlooking the city.

This is a twofer, or really a three for. You get to see the ancient Golden Temple, beautiful cloisters, and a splendid church. It’s fascinating to see how precise the ancient stone workers were, and the ways the Dominicans just built right around the Inca walls.

We had a wonderful guided tour of this site that spoke good English and was very passionate about the subject.
The Inca constructions inside were amazing, this is a great temple to visit in Cusco.
