very interesting, and if you lose your ceelphone...sure that maybe you find it next week or next month being sold by an unnoticed vendor who got it from the intermediate purchaser/seller...well, at least the prices are pretty good, a complete sellout.

This is where the locals come to shop. El Baratillo has everything from super inexpensive souvenirs to brand name second-hand hiking clothes and shoes. We found Salomon hiking boots in perfect shape that fit my husband's big feet for $35. Retail $175.
There is so much hiking clothes and shoes to choose from. The used hiking shoes/boots are in a separate white building just down the main market area. Ask the locals where, and they'll show you the way. At the main market I bought souvenirs for 1/4 of the asking price at the Pisac market.
El Baratillo market is walking distance from Plaza de Armas no need for a taxi. The market can get a bit crowded in some areas but otherwise the experience is great!

Ever saturday is fleemarket day in Cusco!
I really like the atmosphere there and the offered food. For example I ate an excellent trout. If you don't mind eating on the street it is a very good place to go. The offered good are interesting to see - one can buy everything on El Baratillo. I think it is just an experience to see and feel the normal life in Cusco there apart form the polished up center.
My recommendation: Don't be afraid and go there!

We are regular visitors here. The menu is extensive and compare very well against other restaurants. The Cola De Torro is a must. All food is good.

Suelen estar aproximadamente hasta las 6:00 pm pero te aseguro que no encontraras la misma variedad que si vas temprano, ya que a esa hora la mayorÃa de los vendedores dejan sus puestos para regresar al siguiente sábado.
