David and Rom were amazing tour guides. Our group did the 4 day inca trail to MACHU PICCHU. Their level of 5 star accommodations on a side of a mountain were fantastic. They plan your trip down to every little detail. Their porters woke us up with a cup of hot tea which is just what I needed. The tents were set up every night when we got to the campsite. This was great so you could rest before tea time. The food. Holy cow the food was delicious. They make everything on site on the trail. The porters were beasts. Carrying up to 13 lbs of my stuff abs also everything else they had to carry. They were always making sure we had water or when we asked for something, they were quick to help. it was a tough hike but David and his crew did an amazing job with encouraging and stopping to talk about Inca history, plants on the trail, or Inca traditions. My group asked a lot of questions and they answered them with patience and lots of knowledge. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone going to Peru and wanting to hike the Inca trail. Budget list check!

Best trip of my life. The food was amazing, and plentiful. We loved our cook! The guides were patient, knowledgeable and fun to be around. I carried a 23 lb. pack, but all my other friends has 8-11 lb packs. The porters carry most of your stuff. I just don't own any ultra light equipment, but I would buy way more ultra light packing stuff next time. Tents were set up for each evening and broken down each morning. I've never backpacked easier in my life. It was wonderful. Nothing beats the views! I will be recommending these guys to all my friends. Protip- do your squats before you climb this hike. It's like 3000 stone steps, which feels awesome when you're prepared and painful when you're not.

AT the tender young age of 69, I decided to hike 30 miles of the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. Our guides were David and Rom. Their passion for the area and its people enriched our trip. They were patient with the large range of skill levels in our group. They shared much information with us as we hiked. The meals and camping accommodations were excellent. Thanks to them we had an amazing trip. Looking back, we definitely were lucky to travel with them and in hindsight I would not consider anyone else. I highly recommend Andean Path Travel.

David, Rom and their staff were absolutely amazing from the beginning to the very end of our trip. My husband and I were 2 of the 16 Americans in our group. David picked our group up from the airport, transported us to our hotel, and took us to Humantay Lake and the 3-day Inca Trail hike to Machu Picchu, another day of tours and an airport drop off on our last day in Peru. It was unfortunate that we did not get to experience Rainbow mountain due to its closure; however, David was able to secure us another day of touring the Salt Mines, Moray terraces, and alpaca textile shop (where we bought out favorite souvenirs). The mountain range is absolutely beautiful, the Inca trail is definitely a worthwhile challenge, Machu Picchu is much larger in person. I highly recommend him and his group for assuring our care and safety during our trek, the 5-star trail food (truly 5-stars!! me and two other vegans/vegetarians did NOT go hungry), providing top notch local tours and our on-the-trail lessons, as well as the tour of Machu Picchu with its rich history. I already miss the trail, the city of Cusco, and the Peruvian people; but especially David and Rom who were amazing.

What an amazing adventure we had! David and Rom were absolutely amazing guides. They told funny stories, pointed out all the plants, animals and flowers on the trails and really took their time to get to know us individually. We had a large group of 16 people with all types of fitness levels. David ensured we were all taken care of and completed the 3.5 day trek on the Inca Trail, the trek to/from Humantay Lake, and since Rainbow Mountain was closed David took us to the salt mines, a textile factory and the Moray archaeological site. I cannot recommend Andean Path Travels for your tour guides and porters. The porters were all polite and so very hard working, the chef cooked us the most delicious meals and even made us a cake!! I learned so much on this once in a lifetime journey and cannot thank David and Andean Path Travels enough!!
