Hiking the Inca Trail with Carlos was a better experience than I could have imagined. From our planning meeting all the way through sharing a meal after touring Machu Picchu, Carlos shared his knowledge, experience, and laughs with us. Traveling with friends of varying paces on the trail, Carlos made sure everyone was comfortable on the hike. He took every chance he could get to impart knowledge on us, from the ancient ruins to the flowers along the trail. Also, he kept us laughing the entire time! I highly recommend Pachacutec Expeditions.

I went do the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu with Carlos and I can tell you, he's a fantastic guide. He makes everything to make you feel comfortable and at home during the whole trek. He waits for you all the time if you are slower, he stops a lot to talk to you about historical facts about the Incas, he really knows his history. He is also really funny and we played funny games at night after a big day trek. I would definitly go back to Peru with Carlos and make any trek or other activities his new company propose, because he will always make sure the client is satisfied and happy!!! Thanks Carlos!!!

Hiking with Carlos was a great experience. Not only was he VERY knowledgeable about the sites and Inca history, but he also was funny and made the 4 days fun and exciting. He always made sure everybody in the group felt comfortable and hiked at their own pace. His rapport with the porters showed that his is kind and respected, and his field work for a University of Colorado professor made for interesting conversation in which I learned a lot about the Incas and astronomy. Carlos went beyond the normal touristic information, really trying to express the Inca way of life and its connection to Peruvians' culture today. His fluency in Spanish, Quechua, and English made communication during the planning stages and the hike very easy, and we all had an amazing time on the trail!
