We had a fabulous time on our Peru Trek 4 Good. We visited many places, Lima, Ballestas, Ica, Nazca, Arequipa, Colca Canyon, Puno, Lake Titicaca, Cusco, and, of course, Machu Picchu. We travelled in October and finished our trip in early November. The weather was terrific, sunny almost all of the time, warm, often hot, and so the sites we visited were shown to their best advantage in the sunshine. We booked a private driver for this trip and it turned out to be Yure Chavez, the owner of the company. He was terrific, giving us personalized tours of every site we visited except a couple of times when we had a different private guide. He was knowledgeable, friendly, willing to answer questions and offering information and insights about his country, from historical times to the present day. He is also warm, personable and very generous. I travelled with my brother and sister-in-law and Yure stopped for photo ops along the way, both planned and unplanned, and took photos of the three of us together at every site. I highly recommend booking a private driver for this tour. Having Yure was very special. The trip covers most of the sites tourists would like to visit and each of them had something unique and fascinating to offer. We took a plane up to see the Nazca lines, we had a boat trip to the Uros Islands on Lake Titicaca to see the islands made by hand of reeds and roots, and visited Taquile the same day, we visited many Inca sites, mummy burial graves, museums, the salt mines, circular terraces, and, of course, the best for last, Machu Picchu, in its awesome grandeur. It's a busy trip, but an excellent one. Having Yure as our driver and guide made it extra-special. Because we travelled by SUV, we went up to the higher elevations in a graduated way. That, plus taking our elevation medication and drinking coca tea and lots of water, made it easy to acclimatize to the very high elevations we encountered. The hotels we stayed in were very comfortable and well-located in city centres. Some meals were included, as listed, but dinners were not and because the hotels were in the city centre, restaurants abounded close by. It was good to have some free time to see the cities and towns and get a flavour of the local communities. We found that Peruvians are very family and community-minded and we saw lots of processions, Halloween parades and activities, and other rousing goings-on in the city centres. I know that I can speak for my brother and sister-in-law in saying that this was a very special trip to an absolutely beautiful country with diverse and stunning scenery. Choose Peru Trek 4 Good. You will not be disappointed.

My father and I travelled Peru and Bolivia for about 2 and a half weeks with Peru Trek 4 Good and we had a fantastic time. Our tour covered Lima, Amazon Jungle (in Peru), Cusco and Machu Picchu, Lake Titicaca and Uyuni Salt Flats. Saw some amazing sights and made great memories.
Highlights of the Company:
- Really flexible company - Can leave any day of the year and make amendnents (our trip didn't have Amazon aspect, so we added it and they had no issues).
- Communication - was really good. Daily breakdowns of what tomorrow would be via whatsapp, any questions were quickly answered so we werent waiting around unsure.
- Punctuality - awesome (Peru in particular). Whatever time they said pick up/drop off was, bang on time. Transfers always on time. Bolivia was mostly good (Salt Flats tour was the only slightly tardy aspect)
- Even long travel days/night bus were comfy and had enough stops to make them tolerable.

Things to Consider:
- Hard to make friends - it's mostly several different day tours put together rather than a big group travelling around for 2 weeks. If you're a solo traveller/want to get to know new people, it can be hard as you start fresh most days. Our trip was not for this purpose, so we had no issues.
- Salt Flats Tour - Definitely more of a hostel tour - the accom is limited (minimal/no wifi or service, heating and electricity questionable, toilet paper only available for purchase). Again, for 2 nights, we didn't mind. I understand some travellers may expect a finer service.

Yure organized a wonderful vacation for our family of three during December 2023 and January 2024. We had a general idea of what we wanted to see, and Yure helped us pick out the complete itinerary for the 12 days. We ended up spending multiple days in the Amazon jungle, Cusco, hiking in and around Machupicchu, and lake Titicaca. Yure organized everything seamlessly with private tours for our family. The logistics were complicated but his instructions were clear and everything worked exactly as planned. All guides and transportation were knowledgeable, helpful, nice, and prompt.

We give our strongest recommendations to Yure and Peru Trek 4 Good for any family wanting to travel within Peru. Yure obviously has immense experience and expertise in planning trips within Peru, and we were extremely happy and satisfied with the vacation.

I booked my full 2-week holiday with Peru trek 4 good and it has been an amazing experience. We choose them through reviews here and we werent disappointed. The communication and advises from Yure was great, his knowledge, budget accuracy. We faced some national transport strickes onsite but he reacted super quick and adapted our itinerary. His attention prior and during the trip was constant and super professional. I would 100% recommend them.

Our guide met us right when we got off the train at the station. He took us to buy bus tickets up to Machu Picchu. When we got to the top, our two hour tour began. Our guide was knowledgeable and able to answer all of our questions.

Yure was highly recommended to me to help plan my 50th birthday celebration to Cusco, Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu and Lima. Being a resident of the US, I was a little reluctant to go directly through his company in Peru, especially since I had a small group of friends going as well. After he answered many (and many) questions of mine, I was sure that I made the right decision and saved hundreds of dollars by not having to pay additional commissions if I were to book through a local travel agency.

Once we arrived, we were greeted by Yure and he continued to exceed our expectations. He was always very friendly, accessible and easy to communicate with since he knows many languages. I was amazed as to how organized, punctual and accommodating he was with all aspects of the trip. He didn't leave one stone unturned in our journeys through the beautiful cities and picturesque countryside’s of Peru. We wouldn't have seen or learned nearly as much without his guidance and expertise. We had an amazing trip and would strongly suggest the services of Peru Trek 4 Good to anyone visiting.

This was my second time to Machu Picchu and while yes you can book a tour guide at the top of the mountain, which I did the first time, this guide was far more knowledgeable. He even included pictures and explained everything he could to the best of his knowledge. The whole family loved it and could understand him.

He also took the time to point out the best spots to take pictures and took our picture for us.

Keep in mind that if you are to go with a group tour, they may not go all the way to the top because others in the group may not be able to handle the steps and the altitude. You run the risk of going to the top and missing the tour or going with the tour and missing the top. Therefore, I strongly recommend a private tour that allows you to go at your own pace and to see the things you want to see versus having to go with the group.

We waited in the lobby of our hotel as requested. When reception became concerned and asked me for the tour company details, she rang them, we had been forgotten, shortly a young man arrived and rushed us to a bus, only to inform us that we would have to change buses soon. We met up with our friends on the tour bus and the boredom started, the most tedious guide ever Ariel was his name. We were told that what we will see is far better than Machu Picchu, it wasn't, very ordinary day. At one point we were told we would have to climb 243 stairs to the top of this wreck of a ruin and that in all his career no one had failed. I have an arthritic knee and refused the climb. He was visibly annoyed that I ruined his perfect record. Back in Cuzco we were told our bus was too big to get us to our hotels and a smaller one was on the way. It was actually bigger. Save your money and find something else to do.

Hello: Sorry for the inconvenient with the group tour you booked - You were not forgotten; the bus picks up other tourists from different hotels and that takes time - The bus takes you to a meeting point where the groups are divided in English and Spanish, that is why you where changed of bus Thank you for your time and we will have all your comments in mind and will use better guides and improve the complementary pick up and drop off services
