Explore the great ruins of Machu Picchu and wander through village markets where ancient traditions live on in the hearts of the Andean people. One of our most popular Peru tours, the journey also includes the important Inca ruins of Sacsayhuaman, Pisac and Ollantaytambo. Spend two days exploring the lost city of Machu Picchu, wander the witches' market in Cusco, bargain over tapestries in Pisac, and walk off the beaten path in the rural Andes. This easy paced week-long Peru trip is perfect for anyone with a sense of curiosity and adventure.

It was great to work with staff at Adventure Life staff who were very knowledgeable and helpful in planning our trip. My daughter and I booked a cruise of the Greek Islands with Adventure Life. I had previously used Adventure Life for a trip to the Galapagos and wanted a similar, small ship experience. Both were amazing. I spent hours talking on the phone with Mary Curry who helped me plan my trip and then finalized all of the details with... More

WE just returned from 15 wonderful days in Peru. This is our third trip with Adventure Life and each time they have exceeded our expectations. We were in Cusco, Machu Picchu, visited many places along the Sacred Valley and then headed on to Lake Titicaca, the Colca Canyon and finished off in Arequipa. Every stop was unique in its own... I don't want to be one of those travelers, but I think the train is overpriced and it doesn't worth it. Maybe the scenery might make it a bit better but after that is a pretty standard train ride, most of the time is better and cheaper if you take it from Ollantaytambo. About $60 ride. A lot of people... More

The train ride was very nice due to the beautifull senery. I took only one way, from Machu Picchu to Ollantayambo, a short right that cost $ 95,-. Quite expensive for a 3 hour ride. On board you get a small snack with a soda or warm drink. There is mode show of Peruan cloths. There are costly, if you... More

We just returned from Machu Picchu and we had a fantastic trip. We planned everything with Adventure Life and received much help from Veronika Sieben, our trip coordinator.
