I highly recommend Puma Path Adventures for any of the many tours/treks you can do in and around Cusco/Machu Picchu. My family and I did a private tour of the Cusco area with Eddy as our guide. It was an amazing journey that started with a private van ride to the Inca site called Tambomachay. We then walked the eight or so kilometers back to Cusco City visiting many Inca ruins along the way, some that were part of the regular tourist circuit and others that were not. Eddy was an excellent guide providing many fascinating insights into the ruins themselves, the history of the Quechua people and their culture. The walk was beautiful and we were able to see many Inca ruins along the way with nary another tourist in sight. We only wished that we had booked our Inca Trail trek with his company (we had booked our Inca Trail trek with another company earlier) as I felt that he was such a wealth of information and interesting insights in the little time we spent with him. I would have loved to have gotten his perspective on the Inca Trail and Machu Picchu. I can't recommend this company enough.

We went the Lares treck. Everything very well organised, född, guiden, tent. We just had to carry pur own belongings for the day. The guidens had a good feeling when we needed to rest. The music at the top was magic. Very good information about the inkas and their history.

My gf and I chose Puma Path as her cousin had Eddy as a guide previously and loved him. We ended up w a different guide for our trip (Paul) and he was great: personable, knowledgeable and funny. Food was amazing and the porters were unbelievable. This was a once in a lifetime trip we'd been dreaming about and they made it almost perfect. Worth every penny.

Absolutely horrible!

Conversed with them over phone and email weeks before to let them know that we had 2 people that wanted to zip line on 8/19 @ 9 am. Even visited the office the night before during times they should’ve been open and they weren’t there.

On the day of at 9 outside of the closed office for 20 minutes and called only for the person to pick up and say he’d figure out what happened. Called 10 minutes later and went straight to voicemail.

We pushed off a guided tour to take part in the zip line tour that never came to fruition. I’d highly advise staying away from this tour agency

The only consolidation is that we didn’t pay them before so please do not pay them before you take part in the trip.

We went to Salkantay Trek with guide Eddy, 2 chefs and porter who offered us super integrated trip, such as, I knew the direction and destination, I didn't feel panic when I was exhausted, I knew how far to achieve our goal in daily schedule. Essentially, I felt like I can't afford that when we hiked at the first day. I breathed hardly, got headache fiercely and trembled frequently. Eddy urged us and tried to slow down. He never pushed us in order to catch the progression. I highly recommend those hospitality guys and proper schedule.

This was one of the most amazing adventures of my life. I can't say enough about Eddy. We are in our 60s and in good shape but the Inca Trail was a challenge. He was patient and absolutely wonderful as a guide, encouraging us and helping us keep up a good pace. His knowledge and passion made the trek more than we every expected. Every day with him brought more experiences and insight into the Incan culture. He introduced us to so many people and took us to places that were meaningful to him and shared with us his beliefs, traditions and stories of the Incan culture and his life growing up in the area. It was a life changing experience that I would recommend to anyone. Eddy is the perfect guide and a wonderful person.

Completed a Springboard charity trek with Puma Path guides and Walking Tree Peru charity. Everything was organised to perfection, the team and chefs excelled in every way imaginable. The knowledge, friendliness and professionalism of the guides was second to none. If I am ever to go back to Peru to Ollantaytambo, Cusco and to do any tour, Inca trail etc. These guys would be on speed dial. Absolute pleasure to spend my time in Peru with them. It was so good, and they do so much good work for their local communities. Well done guys!!

Highly recommended!

Let's just say that I don't think the trip/tour could have been any better! Eddy, our guide, spent 4 days with my husband and I teaching, leading, advising and sharing his love and passion for his native country, Peru. He tailored the tour to meet our needs and interests and was consistently on time and prepared for each day's events. Everyone within the organization become like family and we would I would highly recommend Puma Path Adventures to anyone interested in experiencing the majesty of Peru.

My last trek in Peru was 12 years ago, on the Inka Trail. I returned for a month and finally did the Salkantay Trek with PumaPath along with old 4 friends. Compared to the first trek years ago, the entire experience was like leaping from an old black & white movie into a wide-screen, 3D Technicolor Trek!
We had the best, fresh cooked, food, happy horseman, and chef who seemed to haul a 5-star restaurant with him – and Eddy our guide was - so many amazing things - so passionate about his culture, and so personable and as interested in us as we were of him, and so professional getting us there and back safely, and adapting to our creaking bodies, and the changing terrain. What also really impressed us was how well PumaPath treated everyones who works for them (unlike the cavalier attitude of the previous tour company towards their guides). Eddy was very knowledgeable about the Incan ways, history and culture, as well as the geography, flora and fauna of the entire region. It's the first time - anywhere - that I've felt as if this trek was personalized just for us. My exhausted but smiling friends and I agreed on one thing - PumaPath Trek was our best outdoor experience ever.
