1. In preparing a very personal itinerary Responsible Travel Peru have been very cooperative attending to all our special request to our satisfaction.
2. Comparing prices with other agencies we have to confirm that Responsible Travel Peru lives up to its name and has offered very competitive prices.
3. As to personal travel guides, all of them have done a good job, i.e. Ximena in Lima, Patrizia in Arequipa, Angel in Puna, and Eloy in Cusco. Eloy was the most outstanding tour guide with profound knowledge with regard to Inka culture and beyond.
4. As to the selected hotels, they met our expectations 100 percent. This encompasses the two private houses in Coporaque with Camilawasi (although it was very basic) and at Lake Titicaca with Walther.
5. During the whole journey contact with Responsible Travel Peru was always guaranteed. Issuing a local SIM card is a very commendable approach.

I came across Responsible Travel Peru while researching online and filled the form on their website. Agnes got back to me promptly and worked with me patiently until we were happy with the itinerary. She gave good suggestions and was very helpful during the whole planning process.
I had a video call with Agnes to go over all the final details a couple of days before our trip. From the time we landed in Lima till the driver dropped us at the airport for our trip back home, Agnes and Gabriela were in contact with us 24/7 thru a Whatsapp group for our family.
Our trip was amazing and all the details were well planned by Agnes and her team. We had a very busy schedule as we visited Lima, Paracas, Arequipa, Colca Canyon, Lake Titicaca, Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu and Amazon. All the tickets, hotels, transfers were booked for us and all the logistical details/bus tickets/boarding passes were provided to us in the evening for the next day. The guides and drivers were fantastic and we could enjoy our trip without worrying about anything. If there were any changes they were in touch with us promptly and changed the booking as needed. We also did a homestay in Coporaque. It was a wonderful experience meeting our host family and learning about their daily life.
Agnes and her team were very professional and I would highly recommend them to anyone planning a trip to Peru. It is a beautiful country with so many diverse places to visit and very friendly people.

Dear Mona and family,
Thank you so much for your dedicated review and kind words to Agnes, Gabi and the rest of the team.
It is always like a pat on the back, especially after these hard couple of years when the added difficulties demanded us putting extra efforts.
But in the end, we are all happy!
Thanks again.

Impactful Travel Peru planned an incredible 3 week journey for us through northern Peru from Cajamarca to Chachapoyas. Maria is an amazing travel planner and from the minimal information we provided on the website, she worked with her team to provide us a custom itinerary that was very close to perfect in a very short time. After a couple of iterations to accommodate our flight home, we were given a detailed final itinerary that was far more than we had hoped for. The trip itself was unforgettable, with a mix of cultural activities, historical sites and natural encounters that perfectly complimented our prior travels in other parts of the country. From visits to local communities with newly formed tourism programs, to archaeological sites, both famous and not very well known, to hikes in rarely visited areas, to time exploring the cities, we were guaranteed a new experience on a daily, if not hourly basis. The local guides and drivers that accompanied us were outstanding and it was evident throughout the trip that they were highly focused on ensuring our safety, comfort and enjoyment while exhibiting great respect for the people, culture and natural beauty of the area. The accommodations chosen were comfortable, unique, and perfect for us to recharge each night for the next days' adventures. It was nice to know that the team from Impactful Travel was available throughout if we needed their assistance, but the trip was flawlessly executed from the moment we landed in Cajamarca until we returned home. If you are looking for a company that can provide a unique travel experience with a focus responsible tourism, I cannot recommend this company highly enough.

We traveled through southern Peru for three weeks. Respons (Responsible Travel Peru, Cusco) gave us very good advice when planning the trip and responded to our wishes individually and promptly.
The trip was perfectly organized on site, from the transfers (private drivers and long-distance buses), to the locally selected activities, to the choice of hotels. Given the many stations we visited on our trip, it was an extreme relief that Respons organized everything so perfectly in the background.
All the hotels were really beautiful and they were located in wonderful places. Each accommodation was a feel-good place where we wished we could have stayed longer.
The guides provided by Respons were real experts in what they did. They provided us with an incredible amount of information and gave us access to the local culture and nature. A really perfect trip.

It was an incredible experience with a very skilled guide (Esau) who enabled us to see lots of animals and learn an awful lot about fauna (less about flaura because in august thete was not much flowers), the wildlife, the forest and the river and why things were like there are now. We really get INSIDE the Manu National Park, contrarily to some tours where they just pick you at the entry of the park. It really makes the difference. The heat and humidity was very hard to bear, but you can t expect anything else when you go to the rainforest of course!
Marisol was a very acaring cook, all the dishes were tasty, and she made a surprise cake out of nowhere for my boyfriend's birthday! The boatmen were incredible as well, very experienced, and could get us out of any river turbulence or hard situation.
In one word, it was all you can expect in a rainforest safari!

Impactful travel have organised a great trip for us on lake titicaca. We wanted to do something unique, meet local families and not fall into the classic touristy paths. Impactful travel have enabled us to do just that ! We warmly recommend them to any traveller who wants to travel with positive impact on local families and wish to avoid the most touristy attractions !

We considered booking a full tour from Canada but decided to look for a local company in Peru that we could trust to do a good job.
Researched several options and reached out to a few, but were immediately impressed from first contact with Impactful Travel. We loved the idea of an agency that focused on supporting local companies and, wherever possible, considered environmental impact as well.
Our travel designer was Maria, and she was fantastic throughout the entire planning and booking process. We had a fairly good idea of where we wanted to go, and Maria worked with us in detail to fill in the gaps and suggest several things that we hadn't considered. Maria and Impactful Travel were excellent at earning our trust, which is obviously important in planning a detailed 2-week trip.
Once we got to Peru, we always felt like we could contact the Impactful operations team any time we had questions or needed help. There were some logistical hiccups - not everything ran completely smoothly - but any issues were dealt with promptly and professionally.
All the guides, local companies, and excursions that Impactful organized were excellent. Quality of guides is critical to an excellent experience - we met others whose stories were not so positive but we were extremely satisfied with all our guides.
Our one suggestion to further improve service would be to have a more thorough understanding of the advantage and disadvantages of booked accommodation. All the places we stayed in were of good quality, some truly excellent, but things like traffic noise or seasonal availability of running water should be taken into consideration when choosing particular accommodations.
Highlights were numerous but included the homestay experience in Coporaque (near Chivay and Colca Canyon), Machu Picchu (of course), and our trip to the "other Rainbow Mountains" at Palccuyo.

Hello Greg and Takako,
Thank you for your kind words. We strive to provide every client with our best efforts, and it is always rewarding when this is recognized, especially during challenges. Maria is undoubtedly a great asset, and we carefully examine and supervise the rest of the value chain to meet our standards. However, we sincerely apologize for the inconveniences you experienced with your accommodation in Cusco city.
Having explored only part of southern Peru, we encourage you to return and discover Northern Peru on a future holiday. We promise it will feel like unveiling a new country.
We look forward to hearing from you again.
Best wishes

In September 2024, my daughter (28) and I (53) embarked on an unforgettable 14-day tour of Peru, organized by Impactful Travel. What a truly mind-blowing experience! The beauty of the landscape is overwhelming and simply cannot be captured by a camera.
The travel agency did an outstanding job. Everything was meticulously organized and extremely punctual, allowing us to enjoy a worry-free journey. Even after we emerged from the jungle, a taxi was ready and waiting to take us to our next destination. All the guides were knowledgeable and friendly, but one truly stood out: Octavio Puma.
If you are a Dutch speaker or Belgian considering a trip to Peru, be sure to request Octavio as your guide. This man speaks better Dutch than our queen and is not only incredibly kind but also highly entertaining. His enthusiasm and expertise added an extra layer of enjoyment to our trip.
My daughter and I had an absolutely fantastic time. If Peru is still on your bucket list, don’t hesitate for too long. Peru is challenging and not for the faint-hearted, but with Impactful Travel as your organizer, everything runs smoothly and pleasantly. I highly recommend it!

Hello Lieneke and Charlotte,
Thank you sincerely for your wonderful review. On this occasion, you explored part of the southern region of our country. We invite you to keep Peru on your list, as the northern regions also offer breathtaking experiences. While we can't promise Octavio as your guide for future visits ;), rest assured there are many exceptional people there—from guides to drivers and hosts—ready to make your journey memorable.
We look forward to hearing from you again.

This summer we went to Peru with the family for 3 weeks with responsibletravelperu, everything was a very positive experience! After several emails back and forth (even in Dutch!) we came up with a good travel plan with our ideas and their suggestions, which was arranged down to the last detail. All drivers were always on time, good hotels and tips, and if you had any questions or problems, they were always available via WhatsApp during the trip. Once a driver was late for pick-up at the airport (apparently due to traffic jams/heavy traffic), this was resolved immediately after contact via WhatsApp. Highly recommended!

Absolutely a trip that broadened our horizons and will stay in our memories forever. We booked a trip to the Amazon rainforest in Manu through this agency. The website is very transparant on the activities and the actual activities even exceeded our expectations. The trip was very well organized, everything was taken care of. We felt incredibly welcome in the local community who taught us a lot about the flora and fauna in the rainforest and the way of living there. Very fun people to be with as well. Our guide was knowledgeable on so many aspects of the Amazon that we have a hard time remembering all the insights she shared with us. We highly recommend this trip!

Dear Gijs and Iris,
Thank you so much for your review. We are super happy about you exceding your expectations. Shintuya is quite a place right? Not to say Walter, what a great guy! On the other hand, your guide Yrma is happy to hear about your comments.

*Likely to sell out: Based on Viator’s booking data and information from the provider from the past 30 days, it seems likely this experience will sell out through Viator, a Tripadvisor company.
