I just returned from a women’s seven day hiking adventure in Peru booked through Aspiring Adventures. Our guide, Sonya, made the trip extra special for my three friends and me. We were all a bit reluctant about our abilities to handle the hikes with both the altitude and the terrain, but Sonya was patient and positive. With her expert guidance, we achieved beyond what we thought we could. We experienced the beauty of the Andes while building our confidence and hiking skills. In addition, Sonya educated us in the history and culture of the Incan and Peruvian people, which made the trip more meaningful. We especially enjoyed the two homestays in which we were able to meet with local people and experience first hand their lifestyles. In addition, both Katy and Mayli supported us behind the scenes. Katy provided detailed information prior to the trip and promptly answered any questions we had. She helped book extra transportation and hotel stays which was a huge relief. And while in Peru, Mayli was invaluable in problem solving. The airlines lost my friend’s luggage; Mayli worked with the airlines to resolve the situation and my friend ended up getting her luggage. Mayli was a godsend! Our drivers, Alex and Paul, made the trip extra special with their positive attitudes and skilled driving abilities in some crazy traffic situations. I highly recommend Aspiring Adventures, especially the Women’s Only Hike. You will expand your understanding of history and culture as well as experience personal growth. I’m already researching my next adventure with them.

Oh Julie, thanks so much for your review which makes me really happy :) I didn't reveal this until now, but this was our first ever women-only trip!! I just KNEW this was a winner of an idea and am keen to take it further, so reading lovely reviews of the trip is extremely pleasing validation. Lovely, engaged, appreciative guests like yourselves make taking care of issues like lost luggage and changed flights a pleasure, truly. Come again any time! Cheers! Katy

We went on the Peru Hiking Adventure. Sonya was the most amazing guide. She was exceptionally knowledgable, funny, and supportive. We learned about the history of the Incan Empire, had authentic experiences at our two homestays, and experienced the beautiful country. Alex was a great driver. Everyone made us feel welcomed to the country and were eager to share their culture with us. Sonya took care of all of our daily plans, supported us on the long hikes, and gave us advice on how to spend our last day in Cusco. I would highly recommend this trip. It was especially great to go on an all women trip with a woman guide.

Hi Jen, I'll let you into a secret - yours was the first ever women-only Peru Hiking Adventure, so it's absolutely fantastic to read this great feedback! We are super pumped to run more women-only trips, and already have some confirmed, with both hiking and biking focuses - as you experienced, it's the perfect, supportive way to grow skills while having a great time! Thanks again for your kind, words, Cheers!

Aspiring adventures met and exceeded all our expectations. They planned a fabulous trip for our family in Peru and the Galapagos Islands. We hiked, biked, snorkeled, met locals, ate local cuisine, learned a ton and experienced nature in a way we have never been able to before. The guides and activities provided our family with a well rounded, fun and educational family trip. Would highly recommend them.

The entire Sacred Valley was amazing, but the salt mines were fascinating to us. Justino did such a great job of giving us the history of what we were seeing. He kept if fun and interesting. We had travel logistic nightmares which required multiple reschedules of flights, accommodations, trains, etc and they went above and beyond to make sure we were still able to see and do everything we had planned. Can't recommend highly enough to anyone to travel w/ this company.

INCREDIBLE TRIP! Seriously this was a blast. We love being off the beaten path and this was it. Vitkos is awesome and there was NO ONE there. Seeing Yuraq Rumi (white temple rock) was so cool. Amazing what the Inka have done. Keep in mind that though this is off the beaten path, every place we slept, had amazing cell coverage. Im surprised how they get coverage everywhere in those mountains. Maybe some want to go and disconnect, if that’s you, turn your phone off. If you are like me and want to be off the beaten path, but still catch up on work, let family and friends know how amazing it is, this is it. It was unexpected, but we just have the AT&T international day plan $10 a day and you use your minutes and data on your home plan I believe, so we didn’t have to get a local sim or anything. We hiked to amazing waterfalls, biked down beautiful winding roads from 14,160 foot elevation to a drop of 6,000 feet. We ziplined, did a ladder rung bridge, adventure crossing river in pull cart, it was just awesome and an adventure. Also rafted in the river, they had wet suits with a dry suit top, so it wasn’t bad at all. And the rapids were maybe a 3, it wasn’t crazy, just fun. Machu Pichu was breath taking. It is HUGE! The amount of craftmanship is unheard of for todays standards. The hike to WaynaPicchu (mountain behind all the pictures) was super cool. 900 foot elevation gain in ½ mile 😊 From Katy and Steve booking and staying on top of things, to Aldo and his team on the ground, it was great! Really a trip your family would love. Our kids range from 11-16 2 boys and 2 girls and they loved it! Thanks again
