14 day tour guided by Aldo was an absolute blast. Everything taken care of in terms of accommodation, meals, tickets, all we needed to do was be ready on time each morning. Cusco, the Sacred Valley, Raqchi, Machu Picchu, Puno to name but a few places we visited, plus that amazing 72 km downhill bike ride which was AMAZING. My experience was life changing and humbling. We were able to stay with village families and that was definitely a memorable experience for all the right reasons. Aspiring Adventures provide you with an exceptional itinerary and guides who are passionate about their country & their culture. Aldo was superb. Don't dither, trust me, you won't be disappointed if you book any tour with Aspiring Adventures. Our tour was in 2015

I have done 3 virtual lockdown tours now and they are so much fun! I have visited Cusco, Kathmandu and Georgia (the country) from the sofa. I have learnt so much - even how to hake a delicious Georgian cheese bread!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! Definitely helped me to feel less locked down!!

The private family tour we took recently is a highlight in our family's holiday history! What a fascinating country and the experiences Aspiring Adventures wove into the itinerary were fabulous. They really know their stuff. Our 11 year old son chose Peru as the destination as he had been studying the country in school. I was a little apprehensive, first time in South America and not sure what to expect if one of us got sick or something (said 11 year old was very sick in Africa when he was 8 and that has scarred me a bit). The family tour was ideal as it meant we covered so much more territory than we could have on our own. Our guides, Naty (who has done the Inca trail 500 times!), Paul (our awesome driver of the disco car), Yuri (King of the jungle) and Mayli (the lovely on-the-ground Aspiring Adventures contact in Cusco) were simply fabulous. It was so good to have all their support when travelling with young people and doing adventuresome (ie a bit risky) stuff - if something had gone wrong we knew they had our back. As it was there were no hitches though we all got a touch of Altitude sickness (separately of course!) when with Naty and Paul and they were so fantastic...we didn't miss out on anything. Doing the private tour option was wonderful as it gave us a bit of flexibility along the way but there really wasn't much we changed anyway! It was a memorable trip and we thank Katy and Steve and all the team for planning and delivering a superb adventure.

Embarking on the trip to Peru, we weren’t sure what to expect. Katy had given us a lot of information to prepare us but we wondered, “what if she forgot some details?” Thank you Katy, we were well prepared! Aspiring adventures went above and beyond and made this an amazing trip to remember. Our guides (Wilhen & Raul), our driver (Walter), the chefs, porter....all very professional and personable throughout the entire trip. And the food....wow!! Very well done by Johan and his crew! To tell you how amazing Wilhen and Raul are....I celebrated my birthday while we were on the trip and they went out of their way to find a Gluten-free, dairy-free birthday “cake!” They showed up with it in the morning when they came to pick us up for the days adventure. The celebration continued throughout the day and ended with a special dinner presented by Gigi, the profiteer of an enchanting bed & breakfast. Wilson and Raul paid close attention and customized our rides to our level of riding and showed us so much of the Peru countryside and shared their incredible knowledge of the history and customs of the regions. Recounting the trip there were so many “high points” that it’s difficult to pinpoint which to share. Traveling along many of the branches of the Inca trail, encountering “traffic jams” comprised of herds of sheep and Andean villagers, experiencing the true flavor of Peru! Every detail was to be treasured. We had an absolutely memorable trip and felt like we got to experience a side of Peru many will never see. Thank you to all of you at Aspiring!! You all rock!!

Great to hear you celebrated your birthday in style Sheri! One of many things we love about Wilhen is that he always shows up with cake any time anyone has a birthday - it's awesome, and I must say quite impressive, to hear he found you a gluten and dairy free one! I'm glad you enjoyed staying at Gigi's that night too - it is quite a magical, treehouse like spot eh! And I'm glad that wasn't the only great day, so much so that it's hard to pinpoint the high points - that's what I love to hear! We loved hosting your group of shredders - there's a lot more terrain to be explored in Peru, come on back any time, you're welcome any time! Cheers, Steve

Thanks for your kind words Y1918KFscotth! I'm glad you found the trip, marvellous, adventurous, wondrous and incomparable... these are the kinds of words we love to hear! And thanks for the very good advice, 'if in doubt, jump in!' Nobody ever wished on their deathbed that they HADN'T undertaken an MTB trip in Peru, that's for sure! Thanks again for coming biking with us, it was a blast!
