From the beginning the experience was excellent. The day before departure from Cusco, we had our informative and preparation talk by our Guide Jesus Vargas, who was very timely and provided us with the information and peace of mind to be ready for our trip. The transport from Cusco was very comfortable and we arrived within the first groups at the entrance to the Inca trail. Our group was one of the smallest, which made it much more personalized. There we had the fortune of having a Guide who is passionate about history and tries to give more information than the basic one, allowing us to understand more deeply the Inca culture and civilization, at the same time he was always very aware of us and that we did not need anything. The camping tents were great, as was the food provided for the entire Inca trail. As the only aspect to improve, from the beginning we were told of a tip, which is used to give to the carriers, who are previously hired by the company, and the cook who goes with the group. However, on the last night, before reaching machupicchu, an uncomfortable moment is created in which we feel obliged by the company to tip the team. At the same time, a minimum amount was suggested to us, making the group feel that what the support team is being paid is not enough to get them to provide the service and return home. This aspect should be handled by the company and pay enough to its employees, so that they are not requesting more money from customers during the trip. As we understood it, this is customary for all groups, but we are sure they can improve or eliminate this uncomfortable situation for tourists.

I have lived an incredible experience surrounded by wonderful landscapes and with a dream finish coming to Machu Picchu through the Puerta del Sol. This experience would not have been the same without our guidance, Nilton. An excellent person with whom a few minutes after walking has already generated a friendship that has accompanied us at every step. It's made everything very easy for us. The way he planned it was excellent, but it was even better as he explained everything, with the final finish in the visit to the ruins of Machu Picchu, it was very exciting his interpretation. Appreciate also the magnificent work of the Sherpas and the Chef. We have enjoyed an incredible dining experience given the situation of the camps where we have camped. They have made everything very easy for us every time the stage ended.
We take with us magnificent memories of this experience, and a friend who has gone deep, Nilton.

We did the Inca Trail 4 days (3 nights) in a small group of 4 people with Inka Trail Backpackers. The experience has been fantastic. All thanks to the perfect organization by our guide Nilton, and the group of porters and chef. I have no words to express my gratitude to make this trek an unforgettable experience. The road is very demanding. Not suitable for anyone, with much unevenness and difficulty added by the path of steps in a large part of the flights. In addition we were unlucky that the rainy season was brought forward (climate change things) and we had rain daily. That didn’t detract from the beauty of the road, I would even say it gave it a more epic touch. The ending in Machu Picchu is apotheosic, but I keep the memory of every part of the way. Thank you very much Nilton, Justino, Siro, and the rest of the Inka Trail Backpackers team!! Forever in our memory, Hopefully we will meet again!!

I am so glad to have lived this experience, you cannot travel to Peru without doing this.
The company provided us with everything during the trail, was very detailed with the preparation and guaranteed us a Friendly, Attentive, Pro Guide and with a conversation that enlivened every walk and rest along the way. Thank you, Jesus!
I must emphasize, however, that they have the motto to take care of the food in detail, and I warned 4 times about my intolerance and when the cook arrives I had no idea. I didn't get poisoned by my hair. It's a serious fault that I hope you will correct.

An amazing trip, I couldn't say much more. The service of the agency when you arrive, very good, they explain in detail what the Inca Trail and its stages will deal with. They give you recommendations of what you have to wear and what you don't.
The guide Darío was one of the best I have had in any type of Tour, very helpful, friendly and empathetic. His knowledge of places is spectacular. The carriers, very hardworking and committed people, arrived at the campsites and had everything put together and the food, excellent quality, prepared and served.

A journey not to forget.

Very good experience. Our guide Ulrich was always looking out for us, our safety, showing us the best spots for photos and sharing interesting stories and history about all the archeological places we visited. The porters were lovely and helpful, always waking us up with a cup of fresh tea every morning. The food was delicious and used lots of local ingredients. We had a great time.

The only thing I'd suggest to the organizer is to get new, better tents, as the ones we had would leak during rain.

We visited amazing places like the 7 color mountain, the sacred valley, Machu picchu and even made the Salkantay Trek.
During these places, the company gave us muleteers, chefs who prepared food depending on your personal needs and tastes, gave us sleeping bags and a backpack for our belongings, everything was very much up to scratch.
I also want to highlight our assigned guide Giovanni, we were a group of 12 people and he was always on the lookout for everyone, both those who had a higher pace and those who did not, plus he always had very good attitude and willingness, we felt him as a companion more.
Recommended!!!

The experience has been incredible. We have gone with the guide Juan in which he has assisted all the passengers. Personally, one day I felt bad and it helped me complete the trip. If it was difficult for you, he always gave you tools and encouraged you to continue. And for the people who knew how to do it without help, he let them follow them so they wouldn't get bored. Juan is an excellent guide who knows a lot about mountaineering.
The porters do an admirable job, whenever we arrived the tents were ready and they were waiting for us with the food prepared, which was always plenty and delicious. They even gave us snacks!
In the morning they wake you up with hot water and coca tea.

Waqra Pukara is a must see Inca site. Once you have been to Machu Picchu try this magnificent largely unknown wonder. The journey through valleys and mountains is spectacular. The site itself is majestic. If you take the early departure from Cusco at 04:30 you will probably have the site to yourself for at least one one hour. As more people find out about the place it will become more popular. We had great driver, Eloy and guide Vena who met all our needs
