My family decided to visit another inpressive place in the Cusco Region which was Choquequirao so after we had a great time with this agency for our Machupicchu trek we chose again them to go to discovery this unique place on heart We were the only people around this place our tour Guide Juan is a person who was born in this area so as result we met his mum ,father and other relaties so this trip filled out all our expectations Again the food was full of different options everyday Dont take this tour as easy one It is very hard going from 3600 masl down to 1500 masl in 6 hours then the second day from 1500 masl at the Apurimac canyon up to marampata which is at 3400 masl more or less so as a result we were really tired the second night once you are in Choquequirao we spend almost all day long exploring every single hidden places of Choquequirao so Juan told us fantastic histories about his culture and his family too We highly recommend this trek for people who dont like many people behind them and you will be fully satisfied taking Incastour.com a local company based in Cusco peru

I recently took a tour with Incas Tours that warrants this (my first) post. After deciding to do a Choquequirao trek, I researched all the tour companies and pricing. There were only a handful of reviews for Incas Tours*. I didn’t read anything horribly negative so I decided to take a chance. I emailed back and forth with them with a few questions and they were always responsive, albeit sometimes at a day or so delay. No worries. Ultimately when it came time to book the tour, they asked for the deposit via money transfer – no credit cards! Eek! I decided to go ahead and sent the money and received a couple of confirmation emails – a good indication that they hadn’t run off with my money! They were in touch leading up to the tour date with plans and instructions. Upon our arrival in Cusco, an Incas representative met us at our hotel to collect the remaining balance and give us a bit of a pre-tour overview. He arranged for our guide to come to the hotel later that day, at our convenience, to drop off the equipment for the trip. Sam, our guide, came on schedule and gave us a full itinerary and let us know what to expect. The tour company was top notch throughout. They were accommodating to our individual needs (1 vegetarian) and the food was plentiful and every meal delicious! Sam was very attentive and I thoroughly enjoyed learning about what life was like in such a remote and rustic - yet beautiful - location. It was a special treat to meet and spend time with his family in Marampata. * It’s important to note that Incas Tours is affiliated with Bioandean Expeditions. You’ll find many more reviews on the latter. I’m not entirely clear on what the association is (one is run by the husband, the other by the wife?), but you can likely apply any information gleaned from the Bioandean reviews to Incas Tours as well.
