This is the most important and fantastic Inca ruin. Only Machupichu can match with this ruin. Considering the size of stone and the quality of stone work, I am sure that it was more important site to Inca people than the Machupichu. It is shame,...More

Sacsayhuaman is lovely but like many of the better known sites, too crowded. Much of it is current roped off for excavation/restoration.

One of the most stunning Inca sites. This was a ceremonial site used as a fortress by Manco Inca during the siege of Cusco and the site of a decisive battle. The massive stones used in its construction are truly amazing; moved here without the...More

This is one of the must see sites while in Cusco. The place is quite impressive, massive rock formations and its place in Incan history . Its location provides a good view of the city of Cusco below.

Nice place however lacking any comments or description. Just a number of huge stone blocks if you are not prepared theoretically or not having a guide. Nevertheless making a big impression.

We had one full day of visit in Cusco and started with this amazing place! You overlook the city and can clearly understand why the incas picked this place for their celebrations. You feel so small and in awe before what they built many centuries...More

I took a bus tour booked on the street and it was very quick - no real history was given - left to roam around with no explanations of the site.
