We used View Peru for our 8 days in Lima and Cusco including Machu Pichu. I had called them and spoke with Milton and told him the things that interested us. He put an amazing itinerary for both of us that just exceeded our expectations!...More
I've travelled the world and have used numerous tour companies for private tours. View Peru is among the best! Working closely together with Milton, one of their trip planners, I knew I was in for a fantastic and safe trip even before departing. As a...More
We booked a 3 night, 4 day Inka trail trek with View Peru and had an experience of a lifetime. There are so many companies doing nearly the same thing....hiking 46 km over 4 days and 3 nights to Machu Picchu. But what made View...More
While overall we had an enjoyable trip, there were several shortcomings on the part of View Peru.
Four of us booked the private Comfort Inca Trail Trek and we added showers. We had 12 porters, two cooks and a guide.
The hike was good and...More

We were fortunate enough to trek the Salkantay trail to Machu Picchu. VIew Peru made our experience amazing, from the moment we were met at the airport, to providing luxurious camping and gourmet meals. Perhaps most of all we enjoyed our knowledgeable, guide Juan, who...More
We (my wife and I and 4 grandchildren) spent 2 weeks with ViewPeru, including Lima, the Amazon jungle, Cusco, Machu Picchu, Puno and even la Paz, Bolivia. Every minute was amazing; ViewPeru performed without a single hitch !! I'd give them 6 stars if I...More
There are so many wonderful things to say. We did the Luxury Incan Trail and I was a little hesitant about sending so much money to a company with no US ties. Part of me thought “what if I arrive in Lima and no one...More
We did the 5 day Superior Salkantay Trek in July with View Peru for my husbands 70th birthday. This was on his bucket list (not mine!) so I wanted to make sure it was special, and in addition, that we would be comfortable while doing...More

Most of my friends carried a 20L knapsack, which is quite enough for all you need for the day. I carried a 9L because my husband carried a 35L to lessen my load. We also had a 2L camelbak for water, which gets refilled if you need during the day when we break for lunch. What you carry depends on which season you go... we went in May which is the dry season so we didn't pack for rain geat. View Peru really took care of us so things like rain ponchos, walking sticks, daily snacks etc were supplied for us. I had one of those ultra light fleece which is enough for early morning and night. So pack in your knapsack like you would go for any 6 to 8 hours day hike. Definitely sunscreen. And toilet paper. Have a great trip!! :)
