We booked the 4 days tour after reading several reviews on tripadvisor and this was the best choice we did! Pros: - our guide Manuel was great. He explained us everything and was always happy to answer our questions. - great food. Don´t know how they cooked it but it always so delicious overall: it was the best experience of... More

The tour itself deserves a 5 out of 5. Good preparation, good guides, good equipment and seriously amazing food. There is one thing that keeps me from giving 5 stars though... The company is probably the most expensive provider there is- one reason for that is that they pay their staff fair wages, allegedly! It turned out that the porters... More

Chris, I am glad that you loved the tour, but I need to respond to the second part of your review because its 100% not true and completely against everything we stand for. Every single person on our team, and most importantly the porters, are paid real wages for them to live on and support their families. We then do... More

Alpaca Expeditions was amazing. The porters are the hardest working people in the world, and they were all fantastic. The trek itself was extremely well organized, and the day before the trek they had an info sessions for us to attend, and meet our guide, (Miguel M) which was extremely helpful. As well, the food was amazing. I would use... More

Excellent four-day 3-night guided tour of the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. The guides really put in the extra effort to make sure the hike was personal and authentic. The porters were incredibly hard-working and very friendly. It was clear that Alpaca valued them and provided them with excellent gear. I can't really explain how cool Peru is in this... More

We did the 2d/1n Sacred Valley / Machu Picchu tour and had a fantastic time. The itinerary itself was very well prepared. Isaac the tour guide was fantastic. He kept the energy of the group up at all times and was able to provide us with many details and local perspectives. We had the bet Peruvian lunch on day 1... More

Alpaca really puts together a top-notch seamless experience for the Inca Trail. Everything from the guides to the food was amazing. They also try to stay ahead of the other hikers. Crowds were one of my biggest concerns about taking the Inca Trail instead of other less popular routes to Machu Picchu, but the trail rarely felt crowded because of... More

This has to be on your list to do if your visiting Peru! It was the highlight of my trip. I'm not sure if it would have been the same without alpaca expeditions, they were very professional and all the equipment was new and in good condition. The food was unbelievable and all the porters were very friendly! What made... More

We chose Alpaca expeditions as our company for the classic 4d/3n Inca trail based on the amazing tripadvisor comments, and they did not let us down! Our guides Herlin and Franz were beyond great: friendly, caring and very knowledgeable about the surrounding nature and the Andean/Inka traditions. We were also very impressed with our portres as well as our chef,... More

We completed the 5 D/4N hike of the Salkantay trail this past January. We were so happy we ended up using Alpaca Expeditions. Our guide was David P., our Master chef Virgilio, and our porter another David. They provided an absolutely prefect trip. David our guide was highly educated on the biology and history of the country and trail. He... More
