Alpaca Expeditions provided my kids (26 and 22) and me with a truly amazing experience. Our Alpaca adventure included a two-day Sacred Valley tour, the 4D/3N Inca Trail trek, a night in Aguas Calientes to give us time to explore the city and return to Machu Picchu the next morning to hike Huaynapicchu, and ended with a Cusco city tour.... We just came back from a 4D3N private tour with Alpaca Expedition. I cannot rave enough about how courteous, hardworking and kind the porters (Thomas x2, Pancho, Paulinho, Fidel, Geronimo) and the chef (Wilber) were. The organization was great, the food was more than one could hope for while camping, and the majestic landscape and ruins spoke for themselves. Unfortunately,... More

For our first backpacking trip, my sister and I decided to conquer Peru for two weeks and attempt to climb Macchu Pichu. We were both extremely nervous starting this expedition, but ended up booking the 4D/3N Inca Trail expedition up to Macchu Pichu. Now that we're back from our vacation, we have nothing but positive remarks regarding Alpaca Expeditions. Manuel,... More

We used Alpaca Expeditions for our tours around Cusco and for our Inca Trail trek. They are a fantastic company with local guides who speak very good English and are genuinely happy with the company, their jobs and do everything they can to make you have the best experience possible. I'll spend the rest of the review commenting on the... More

We chose Alpaca Expeditions for our 4 day trek across the Inca Trail. Every detail was looked after and the guides and porters met our every need. Everyone was friendly, respectful and hard-working. We felt so well taken care of! Our guides were Lizandro and Toribio and they were excellent in every way. I also want to make mention of... More

I loved everything about this company, from their c/s reps, tour guides and porters, Everything was well-organized with Pickup/ Dropoff, & all entrances. For this being my very first encounter with nature/hiking plus camping this was the best experience I could take. Virgilio our guide was amazing! His knowledge about the Inca mythology, religion, architecture etc. throughout the 2 days... More

I did the 4 day/ 3 night Classic Inca Trail trek with Alpaca Expedition last week and I cannot begin to say enough good things about this company. It was incredible from start to finish. They were very thorough and detail oriented from the meeting that we had the night before we left for the trek down to the blankets... More

Highly recommend Alpaca Expeditions. We did the 4D/3N Classic Inca Trail trek with Alpaca Expeditions. The tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable about Incan and Peruvian history, and made the trek fun and meaningful. Staff from Alpaca Expeditions are all locals who are invested in their local economy and community- hearing about the way they care for their employees... More

My girlfriend and I did the ''Inca Trail Trek 2D/1N with Hotel — Private Tour''. Alpaca Expeditions is a well oiled machine, everything was well organised and meant that we could just relax and enjoy the experience. It is a relatively long day of walking (recorded at 18km all up on my phone) so be prepared. This is certainly the... More

Our family of 7 worked with Alpaca Expeditions for our entire trip through Peru. We started off with the Inca Trail hike. We had Miguel as our guide, who was fantastic. He kept us entertained, gave us facts about foliage, about Peru. We had an amazing cook, Umberto, who made amazing food ever day--so much of it that we had... More
