Our ayahuasca retreats have been developed with both Andes Qero and Amazonian Shipibo Shaman. The retreat is run in a traditional manner extending from the way the plant medicine is prepared to the ancient knowledge and customs of the Shipibo and Qero cultures. The traditional base of the retreat is tempered with modern medical practices to ensure our guest safety and allow them to assimilate the experience in the best way possible.

Etnikas is a very special place that has some of the kindest and most beautiful souls working to help you through a crazy journey that will change your entire perspective of what you thought you knew before embarking. You can google or YouTube Ayahausca, and trust me, you will not fully understand the intensity until you go through it yourself.... More

Etnikas retreat staff are very professional, patient and understanding throughout the whole process. The shaman's are very well experienced and beautiful people. The doctor and psychologist are interesting and thorough.Throughout my whole journey, I felt supported, safe and loved. Amazing experience that I look forward to experiencing again very soon and I will return to Etnikas. Thank you to all... More

Important---If you are **serious** about your healing I recommend you to go to Dream Glade, Temple Way of Light, etc. Etnikas is a great small retreat for beginners. It's like a introduction course. Or a preparation for the longer retreats.. I did 3 ceremonies Dec. 2015 and it was very good and life changing! Man...seriously..it's NOT what you think...this medicine... More

I think when you're looking for safety and comfort within a relaxed setting that Etnikas is definitely the best choice. My friend and I participated in a couple of ceremonies in early June and felt we got exactly what we payed for. Not just the accomodation, transport, ritual and food is provided in the price and yes, the price is... More

I am a bit of a sucker, I read positive reviews and decided to come here based off them. I want to start off positive, the setting is impressive, I did not for any moment not feel safe like I was with anyone dodgy. But maybe did feel unsafe/miffed when I noticed the nurse sleeping my first ceremony. You know part... More

I am terribly sorry that you felt this way. We do explain the shared bedrooms and bathrooms on the website so that everyone is aware of the accommodations. We do believe in noble silence, however sometimes there are people who feel like they need to talk; we do wish you had expressed this issue with the coordinator so that we... More

I trusted my intuition that Etnikas was a safe and welcoming retreat to help me through my first Ayahuasca journey, and I was right. I remember reading these reviews before my visit to Etnikas and felt like I was missing some of the details to truly help me understand what the process was going to be like... I wanted to... More

When embarking on the journey that is Ayahuasca the absolute most important thing is SAFETY. You are entrusting strangers with your psychological, spiritual and physical well being. Etnikas is an extremely safe place. I was very impressed with how much they truly cared. Angel who was our guide spoke from the heart and you could tell he was rooting for... More

I spent 5 days with the wonderful, loving and caring staff at Etnikas amongst a group of like minded, special people. The entire process of Etnikas is professional, caring and really well organized. The location is quiet and beautiful, the quality of the reatreat is very good, clean, organized, safe and professional. I felt safe at all times during my... More

I went on a 5 day retreat on April 21st. Let me first start off by saying the people in Peru really treated me like I was no stranger. The food, the architecture, the clean air, and the vibe was just amazing. The thin air was a little tough. Nothing a little coca leaf tea couldn’t fix. Once we arrived... More
