Our ayahuasca retreats have been developed with both Andes Qero and Amazonian Shipibo Shaman. The retreat is run in a traditional manner extending from the way the plant medicine is prepared to the ancient knowledge and customs of the Shipibo and Qero cultures. The traditional base of the retreat is tempered with modern medical practices to ensure our guest safety and allow them to assimilate the experience in the best way possible.

I had already taken part in Ayahuasca ceremonies when I decided to book at Etnikas. I booked the 5 day retreat, and so had an additional 3 ceremonies at Etnikas. The location and surroundings are beautiful. Under breathtaking Apu’s (mountains) of the Andes. Initially I wasn’t so sure about sharing a room with people right after intense ceremonies, but it... My experience at Etnikas was life changing. Truly one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. Both the decision to try Ayahuasca, and the decision to try it at Etnikas, were the best choices I could have made. I went with my girlfriend and we did the 3 day, 2 ceremony retreat which was perfect. As... More

I have just returned from a 3 day retreat at Etnikas and cannot express how grateful i am for this wonderful place. Everything for me, was perfect, from the authentic ceremonies to the delicious breakfasts, the beautiful grounds to the professionalism of the staff. The care of the nurses, doctor and other staff throughout the night was flawless. There was... More

I was very apprehensive about booking with Etnikas. I had been doing research for years and wanted it to be the perfect experience. I really wanted to go to Iquitos but with my itinerary I couldn't make it happen so I decided to just go for it. I am so happy I did. From day one the staff was so... More

I travelled to Peru with the main intention of taking Ayahuasca for the first time. After months of research, this is one of the only places that I felt a strong pull towards. The people and the retreat centre are all worth their weight in gold. The Gardens are a great place to meditate in, with beautiful friendly dogs that... More

After writing two long diatribes and having them pulled from the site I'm going to try to keep this short and sweet - so hopefully nobody is offended and asks for my review to be taken down yet again. The other 1 star reviews are spot-on, please read them. I didn't like the place, I didn't like the people, and... More

I believe this is a wonderful organization and a great place to experience plant medicines with caring, authentic staff. Gabriel, Coco, Ivan, the nursing staff and shamans were all fantastic. Etnikas is also doing great work in Cusco and neighboring communities that should be noted and supported. I had a difficult ayahuasca experience, but have already gained tremendous insight into... Me and my brother went there for a 3-day retreat and it was just awesome. Of course ayahuasca confrontates you with your fears and deep emotions but the staff is very professional trying to take your fears and help you all time. You also get a good view into the culture and religion of the traditional people of Cusco. I... More

I went to Peru with the idea that I might do an Ayahuasca ceremony but wanted to be sure it would be safe, as it would be my first time and I was aware of the risks. The guide on a walking tour in Cusco recommended me Etnikas. I did my research and saw the great reviews. I was told... More
